TresheR Fire Mandrill	Posted - 2007.08.01 21:39:00 - [1] Just now I had an agreed 1v1 with Percival Diddly of the OSS alliance. They had a gang on the station I was in, and I asked Percival if he would 1v1 with me. This was done in local and confirmed by who I think was their FC, namely Saturous. Percival Diddly > no one else fight let me and him just fight Saturous > yeah, thats verified. TresheR > ok, let me just rep up armor then After briefly repping my armor I undocked again and the fight started. The fight itself took place on station, in the middle of their gang. (Yes, I know, rather stupid, but I still trusted them because they gave me their word.) The fight itself was rather good, with me ending in half structure. But mere seconds after Percical's geddon blew up, the entire OSS gang started firing on me. I honestly did not expect this to happen. Apparently, it was ok for them to shoot me since the 1v1 was over. Again, call me old fashioned, but I presumed they would have the decency to let me redock. Some more quotes from local: Saturous > doesnt mean we'd let you keep the ship afterwards. Saturous > he won, the 1v1 was over. Astal Atlar > keep talk we do not pay attention mates you will learn the lesson this is our space this is what matters I'm not going to post the whole local chat inhere, because as you might imagine, I was not in the best of moods and said things I shouldn't have. However, it can be mailed if someone feels the need to read it. This was just a warning to anyone that has to deal with OSS, be it a friendly or a hostiles basis. Greetings, Tresh -------------------

Needless to say it wasn't the smartest thing to have an arranged 1v1 on the station in the middle of their fleet, but myself along with FIREM have respect for OSS from our old days in Syndicate so Tresher thought that it'd be alright. The ship loss is nothing, isk can always be replaced from the endless waves of NPCs in the belts, but trust and respect can take a lifetime in eve to build or rebuild in this case. I was disappointed, but I hope those OSS/PhD/Ekliptika pilots enjoyed the rare occasion of killing one of us - Latest Video

If you didn't ask for free passage as a prize for the duel then why the hell should they let you live afterwards? PS - 1v1s are stupid.

True, as far as I can see OSS didn't actually go back on their word, but it's low to just gank the guy if he wins. TresheR Fire Mandrill	Posted - 2007.08.01 22:54:00 - [26] This has been resolved. SajuurCor was so friendly to contract me a new megathron. As to the 'no-honor' stuff. I am one of those people that DO believe there is honor in eve. The only problem is you have to make a guess as to whether you can trust someone or not. I also believe 1v1's are far from pointless. I love going toe to toe with a pilot and finding out who is the better pvp'er in that engagement. And they also get the adrenaline flowing again, which doesn't happen all too often after a couple years in eve. -------------------

Astal Atlar Caldari Bulgarian Experienced Crackers The OSS	Posted - 2007.08.02 06:57:00 - [29] Edited by: Astal Atlar on 02/08/2007 06:59:42 Ok i was present at the place... the battle was fair they battle each other tresher wining at a luck almost at 90% structure.. then our fc said we finished it is easy i do not see the problem...i can not honor oponents like omen, exquisite maliovance or huzaah we keep fight them fair and post their loses but at the end when you see their kb they post only their kills and 1 of every 5 loss they got example: http://www.kb.ghen.cc/?a=kill_related&kll_id=15408 battle for the last night.. we owned omen/huzaah gang and then at the end their friends come to save them ok.. no problem take the t2 loot and ect claim the few kills you got before we escape... but then you speak for honour come on... come down to earth. at least the killing is fun but i hate when people whine for bul**s P.S. : fire mandil omen and system lords with huzaah operations together against us.
