Every week in the Warp Drive Active PodCast Winterblink (The Canadian) and Urban Mongral (the Brit) will bring you the goings on in EVE (except for the stuff we miss, forget or deliberately ignore).
Warp Drive Active Podcast is part of the VirginWorlds Podcast Collective
Click here to listen/download Episode 5
Urban and Winterblink start the show by spending an inordinate amount of time discussing their hatred of startrek and trekkies.
Winterblink buys himself a Playstation 3 which he rather likes while Oblivion still continues to consume Urbans life.
BOB and the Redswarm alliance have a big time scrap with nearly 1200 ships destroyed already.
The IAC V Fix + MC + Axe war continues to hot up nicely IAC put up another outpost which leads to but Tyraxx Thorrk looses another shed load of ships.
In the north the Sparta alliance disbands with its territory becoming property of Fallen Souls. We wonder what the other northern alliances will try and grab.
CCP Fendahl posts a Dev Blog about changes to Nos. The lads plan of hitting SISI to check out some Nute-Dom setups
The same Dev Blog has got the changes to Khanid Ships which causes much Armarr rage. Winterblink learns a new word.
A lot of people, including Urban, like the homework assignment Winterblink set last week, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. If you do our homework assignment please do write and tell us.
This week for homework Urban would like you to read The player of games by Iain M Banks, because the Culture universe is so damn cool.
Griefwatch Killboards changes hands as the current owner can no longer run it, we take our hats off to Battle Clinic for stepping up.
The rules for the 4th PVP tournament rules have been published by GM Nova. We worry that we won't be seeing enough expensive factions ships going boom.
Your chance to win a special prize courtesy of the Warp Drive active podcast. You could be the proud owner of a unique Warp Drive Active T Shirt similar to the one being modeled (rather unsuccessfully) by Kieron. 1. I dont care about star trek. 2. The typhoon ISNT useless. It just takes alot of SP and skills to fly.
Thank you for a good podcast despite those 2 pointers

edit: I guess its not in your timezone
funny that you managed to read about tyrrax's loss and not your own alliance's mothership
Actually, I DID mention it in original rough recording (I just re-listened to it to confirm). I mentioned it for a very specific reason, which is that I thought it was an important kill in the last week for the IAC-FIX fight. I have no idea why it didn't end up in the final edit, since I'm not the one who made it.
My apologies that it got cut out, again the intention behind my talking about it (and it wasn't just an aside either) was so that it would end up in the 'cast.

Glad to hear of yet another fan of Battlestar Galactica. I can only assume Mr. Winterblink was referring to the new creation.
For those who live in or around Vancouver, where it was filmed, it's also good fun to point out local sights. My personal favourite is the car deck of an older BC ferry being used as a docking bay.

\o/ That's one. :)
And yeah Admus, I love the new Galactica. The old one was entertaining too, in its own campy way. :)

Lack of options, really. The only other major electronics chain in Canada is Future Shop, which is oddly owned by Best Buy. However FS works on commission, so there's a TON of sales pressure all the time. Best Buy is like a breath of fresh air by comparison.
It's not perfect, but what is.

<sigh> Urban is wrong! Khanid are just emo Amarrians. He's thinking of the Amatarr.
But he does get a nerd point for knowing about Vidkun Quisling.
