what would happen if you go to log in 1 day and the little msg thingy said basically:
'the law is on strike. no police for 24 hours in empire, we go have coffee and donuts'

Empire carebears would log off and not play 1 day and the eve-o forums would be full of complaints.

They had a stress test on the test server last year where Concord "went for a coffee" was a blast :)

Only if the next day they decided to Clean up 0.0 and brought out an appropriate amount of forces to actually do the job. Not this mission tankable crap. They could go on strike today and come back with a vengance tomorrow.

Think of low sec and 0.0 as high sec, but with Concord on strike... Indefinitely. And there's your answer.

Wonder how long before CCP fails due to falling player base and inability to continue to finance their operations.
The funny thing is that the gankers whine as much as the carebears.
The carebears whine because they get blobbed, the gankers whine because the carebears have Concord to assist them.
Fact is Eve as a whole meets virtually ALL players desires. Those who dont want to PVP can live relatively killmail free in high sec, those who want to blow stuff up have vast amounts of low sec and 0.0 areas in which to do so.
Whats ironic is carebears dont whine they cant go into low sec, they know it. But the gankers sure cry like little girls that they cant PVP whenever they want in high sec....
Who really is the loudest whiners? Hmmm......

its was a huge Blast battle all over , for each jump there was a new fight ;) and we killed a dev in a titan ;)
if they would do that to empire for 24 hours well 23 ;) it would be a huge pod zone ehh and loads of fun ;)

Its only ever been done on TQ at the end of the Beta, when everything was being restarted for the official launch. Other than that, its only ever been on SISI.

you cant get all the ore required to build ships in empire you have to get stuff from lowsec and deep 0.0 too :p

True enough, but i know for sure that many alliances are A.) buying either their ships in Empire - not having the posibillity or capability to run large scale productions in deep space to build all their ship needs, or B.) they buy low end ore in empire and haul it down to support their production.
Also, I know that some empire Carebears are mining in Low sec, that way getting some more difficult to get ore, plus dont forget you would need carebears in deep space too, to get your fix.
PvP is just as much needed as we need the carebears. That is why we have a working player run echonomy.

I remember that day almost a year ago when concord stepped out for donuts... I was in my first stabber. Now I'm not going to incriminate myself, but that was the best 5 minutes in Eve I've ever had

I would jump into my lowsec clone, grab my rax and enjoy. After that popped, I'd mess around with frigate and cruiser setups until I ran out of ISK.
