Any idea who's living there? Or if there's anyone at all, now that the 10/10 is gone? Haven't heard anything from that region for a long time..

As far as I am concerned, Shivaja is and always will be KING of that region
No one has ever been able to root him or his comrades out of there and probably never will!

There is a Ronin pet Alliance called League of Abombinal Gentlemen or something similar, They are the self proclaimed kings of The outering. But I didn't see anyone else up there of interest (no offence)

Oh dear, here we go, I suppose I should stay out of this topic but...
We're not pets of Ronin we are friends (shock/horror at the idea) we share a common ideal. We don't proclaim ourselves as the king of anything, but it's kind of interesting you brought our name into this.
As for activity - some nights it's busy some nights it's not. It certainly got more quiet when the 10/10 in A2V disappeared.
Currently there are various groups in the area, either passing through, or looking for a little bit of action - looking at you NITRO.
Is Outer Ring worth crap to anyone now the plex has gone? You decide.
As to where Ronin are... :)

Maybe pet was the wrong word, for this, I'll beg forgiveness. Don't get me wrong BGG are certainly not to be underestimated and always fought hard when under Alek, then twice as hard against Myriad!
As for where are the RONIN! I've seen them around in the South.
Is outering worth anything any more. That all depends on what your after I suppose, reasonable rats A dysporium (sp) moon and mining barge bpos. My guess is it'll just become an extension of syndicate. lawless pew pew haven where you can dock

Even with the plex gone there are many reasons to be in OR. A2 and out the arm has some very nice ore for miners, excellent rats. Additionally you have CT7 and whatnot pretty close to the 4C station. Pleanty of PVP either down in syndicate, or up in CR or down to fountain.
Station placement sucks, lack of ability to drop more outposts sucks (CCP at least allow sov out in the arm... it needs something out there...).
As to ownership, I agree there is and will only ever be one rightfull owner of OR....

You guys might not be pets of Ronin, but you sure engage in some pet-ish behavior. Or at least you did. When we were fighting you seemed to be the "filler" ships in the blob, you definitely only came to fight us because Ronin asked/told you to.
I dunno, it seemed like if you weren't their pets you were at least under their wing.

How about you read my post again - 'sharing a common ideal' - 'friends with Ronin' - 'shock/horror at the idea (that might be possible)'.
BGG and now LAG has been independent of Ronin from the beginning - no question.
We talk about ops and if either group wants to take part then it happens - if not then so what. If you saw us on ops with Ronin it's because we wanted to be there and nothing else.
To be honest I only seem to remember running into you guys a couple of times. I guess we were off somewhere else 'taking it' from the Ronin leaders for not joining in.
But why not come visit us and prove a point - if you know where we are.
That sounds quite aggressive doesn't it
Exit wall of text - Outer Ring is obviously more fun than anyone thought - but someone needs to get ORE out to fight!

Not really sure you could call us a blob unless a blob is where one gang has more ships than another, we don't really to the 200 in local thing - and you certainly can't call BGG the filler in a Ronin gang or pets. As Skornik said we're just friends who het along, chat about ops and join each others gangs for some fun. Its a relationship based on mutual respect rather than any side having dominance.
Personally I haven't been to OR for a while but haven't heard of much major happening there so I'd assume its just as its been for a while: occasional ronin presence, BGG round the 4C area, some small corps floating around, occasional bored gangs from the north/fountain and random russians doing whatever they do.. unless they left with the 10/10. It generally feels like a less random extension of syndicate.
And yeah, NPC regions do indeed belong to no-one, they can have dominant residents though. You can have fun in them, make peoples lifes difficult and not have to deal with soverignty. Its kinda cool.

of course they can and only an idiot would think otherwise, sure you can't stop people docking but given enough force in the area you can exert your will just as much as any other area. Join The Fight With Promo Today |

I think the point is why would anyone claim Outer Ring now the isk factory in A2V is gone...
or maybe the ORE capital BPO's will only come from these stations - now there's an idea...

Outer ring is completely empty just move in especially to 4c-.
Russians are doing there mining/ratting thnig at the old plex constellation. We are there to be able to roam about and when we can engage the "locals" BGG so far it's been fun.
Im starting to take a liking to the region.

After about a week of scouting Outer Ring earlier this summer, I can attest to the previous posters claim that it is pretty much empty. There were some russian farmers there and I spotted the occasional member of Ronin, but other than that it was pretty empty. Too bad my alliance decided to rent in the Vale. ----
