Q: Why did they kill you? A: Because they can.
It's as simple as that. ********** Everyone deserves to die. You go first.

LOL. A corpmate of mine just told me this was here, and since I was listed as an "involved party" I thought I'd make another useless statement ;-)
You were told not to come into fountain. You did anyway. You weren't particularly smart about how you did it. You died. End of story. Bummer for you.
If you and your corpmates, 1337 traders though you are, would like some tips on getting into and out of hostile space, I'd be happy to oblige. Until then, thanks for the laugh, and I'll see you in fountain!

... They can also not kill. So your simple answer isn't.
(leaving aside all arguments about spies, war zones etc. relevant to 'tis particular case)

I went back the next day and tied up the deal. Turns out the guy wasnt FA but a freelancer operating in FA space.
My bad.
This time nobody noticed me go in or out...so... I won't be needing the lessons. Thanks for the offer though.

Quote: Mikka,
I agree with what you are trying to say here. Unfortunately, there are alot of people in this game that have this problem.
While you may have been in a bad area of town, your point is justified. Given the forces that were obviously on hand at the time, I would assume that they would have PLENTY of time and security to warp scramble you, webify, whatever...so that they could take the agonizing 2 seconds to pull up your corp info. This seems to be way too difficult a concept for many. Many in this game quite literally spend all their time at gates ganking. They play a "twitch" game for the most part. The concept of opening a communications channel with the other ship is completely foreign to this type player. And tieing into this practice would be something called honour and respect. I have met a few people in the game who display these qualities...but as in real life I suppose...they are far and few between. As the case seems to be, you would be lucky to get a simple appology out of some of the creatures in this game, even if they were affiliated with your very own alliance.
Being nice for the sake of being nice.....hrmmm.
But I digress...indeed, maybe your shuttle DID scare them, which is why they freaked out and unleashed such fury upon you. At least you only lost your shuttle. That's a good thing I guess. And the fact that you were able to add to your address book.
Sincerely, MrBinary
OK, I know this thread is pretty much over, but this post just made me feel all warm and fuzzy. It should have had "Coke Alert" in the subject. You should do stand-up with this stuff. Scramble and web a target so you can talk? LMFAO!!! Honor and respect? Open a communications channel? Heh, back to the Star Trek conventions Spock! If you don't want to die, then don't go into 0.0. I don't care if it's FA,CA,NVA,FBI,IRS, or DEA.
I'm going to have to visit these forums more often. This stuff is priceless. I need to figure out a way to sell clues |
