I would have to agree with this statement.....you would have to join an alliance to get access otherwise you become NBSI which most Alliance's practise.
This would then mean your corp at very least being able to field PvP'ers or pay large alliance fees

My advice:-
Disband your corp and join a corp already in an alliance. You don't need own a corp to build and research. And you will be able to research and build at thier POS providing you contribute in some way. You'll get plenty of back up and the corp gains a researcher/builder which is something corps eventually look for. Why pay 70 million for a HAC when you have people who can build em for you.
