Just want some feedback on how i was thinking of setting my arazu up. Took a few things that ppl have said on board, like pointless fitting a tank cause if i get targeted im probley dead being such a paper thin ship.
Arazu
250mm Railgun II 250mm Railgun II Covert Ops Cloaking Device II 250mm Railgun II
Phased Muon Sensor Disruptor I Phased Muon Sensor Disruptor I Dread Guristas Warp Disruptor 10MN MicroWarpdrive I Sensor Booster II Dread Guristas Warp Disruptor
Capacitor Power Relay II Capacitor Power Relay II Power Diagnostic System II Medium Armor Repairer II
Rigs : Not sure what to put in here a CCC1 or somthing else :x \ Inverted Signal Field Projector I
I ran a cap simulation on quickfit and after 600sec's this is what my cap looked like after running all guns//all RSD's//all Warp dissys//SB -
Capacitor : 537 / 1092 [49.23 %] (Full regen in 136.25sec) Current CAP regeneration : 17.02 / sec Current CAP consumption : 17.09 / sec Time elapsed : 604 sec
Now cap was holding between 48-52%.
Any thoughts ?

hi- cloak, 3 200 II's med- mwd, t2 dis, 4 phased muons(or 3 damps 1 sb) low- sar II, 800 RT, 2 nano II
rigs- 2 Inverted Signals
With skills damps are at 74% 800 plate because drones launched prior to your aggro will attack ya, fof missiles get painful, just a small buffer that I feel is needed. Sar II for after battle rep, 2 nano's for fast alignment.
You should be able to run guns, scram and damps for about 3 mins with lead loaded.
I think that you have too many cap mods fitted and cant really take *any* rough handling. If you are seriously concerned about cap you could downgrade guns, cram a cap booster on and nano it.
Hope it helps.

best arazu is 100% gank no tank! if you are lock and under fire your dead anyway...
high: cov ops cloak, 250mm II x3 with spike med: AB/mwd t2, sensor booster, 3damp II, 1 t2 disruptor low: 3mag field stab II, dmg ctrl II
this is the real recon, chose target, set trap, dont get caught in a 1 vs 20 ;)

This is my setup for the Arazu:
Highs: same as you
Mids: same as you
Lows: Signal Amplifier II, Overdrive Injector System II, Inertia Stabilizer II, Damage Control II
Rigs: Inverted Signal Field Projector I (EW Strength Modifier 10%), Particle Dispersion Projector (Optimal Range Modifier 20%)
Reason why I fit a overdrive and inertia stab is because the ship feels to much like a brick without it. The DMC will hopefully give me a few seconds extra to get out if I take fire, meaning if I survive I may need a friend to remote repair me. The signal amp gives me a nice boost to locking time.

I only tested this setup in a real fight once but it performed well. I had to warp out a few times when they started firing on me but I returned as quickly as I could a few seconds later to continue damp targets.
Testing it on a friend with all 3 damps, disruptor and 3 T2 rails with spike ammo activated I could run everything non stop for about 2,5 minutes. But it should last longer then 3 minutes without the guns since they are just for firing on frigates, ceptors.

I use a slightly different setup
High: COCD II, 3x 200mm Railgun II (Spike) Med: 10MN MWD II, 2x LSE II, 2x Phased Muon, 1x WarpDisruptor II Low: PDS II, Damagecontrol II, Overdrive II, Nanofiber II Rig: Anti-EM Screen, Anti-Thermal Screen
Drones: 8x Light T2
With good Skills your Damps lock down a single target easily and you can keep at Range. The 8000 Shield HP are nice as a little buffer if you get engaged by a Inty or AF.

What are you going to use it for?
Inverted signal rig is only usefull if you think you need it. I mean 2 dampners allready damp most targets good enough. 10% more usually isnt enough if you dont think your two dampners are enough, then your better of with 3 dampners. those 10% can make a difference in some situations I belive, but I think you are better of with cap rigs, and put magstabs or some tank in the lows, depends on what you will use it for...
With my lachesis I carry lots of modules with me to be able to adapt for the situation, 1v1, killing mission runner, tackling etc..

can that sustain cap? In my experice a damp ship that cannot sustain speed, or keep range atleast, and run scram + damps, isnt gonna work. If guns can run aswell is naturally a +
edit: And I mean perma run. 1v1 vs a BC can take you more then 10min in an arazu.
edit2: And I think generally DC is not that good for recons, they have so low structure hp. about an extra 1000hp tops. Signature removed - please reduce your signature graphic height to less than 120 pixels - Jacques([email protected]) |

I really don't use it so much solo, as it's damage-output is crap vs. anything bigger than Mining-Barges, Haulers or Frigs.
The DCU II give a bonus to Shield-Resistances as well, so I use it.
Cap is not running out, if you use your MWD in bursts. The rest of the modules is running permanent.
I go for the Speed-Setup, as I can run through Gate-Camps with it. At least make it back to the gate, if I get decloaked. .

Sorry i didnt get back sooner, im gonna go with a mix of what ppl said here, But still havent a definitive set up yet.
What i wanna use it for (and i know this ship aint a solowtfpwnmobile) is solo killing and maybe small gang work.

you need some kind of tank on arazu, cause drones will be after you, and you want at least 3 damps best with 4 and dampening rigs
dont bother arguing with me, cause im allways right. Well at least sometimes. |
