Get a nice practical car for your day to day stuff (A nice deisel Astra for example) and spend the change on a Ducati 997. It'll p1$$ anything on the lights:-)
But yeah, as above - you're probably best off sticking Japanese. Unless you live in a nice area / have a secure garage, i'd seriously avoid Evo's - they attract keys and chavs like nothing else.
Also, it depends what your budget is. If you want reliabilty, speed and fun, you've already got the best car for that. If you upgrade the BHP, make sure you upgrade the brakes as well tho.
An off the wall choice may be a Toyata Corolla Levin AE86 - not that powerful, but it's limited slip diff make it the king of drift and fun, and as it's a toyota, you won't have to put a spanner to it for years.

Originally by: Spaced Skunk The Honda S2000s are one of the most reliable cars ever, or at least I've read
The earlier models are snappy as f*** apparently, plus due to the VTEC, you have to ring the t*ts off them to make decent progress.
Originally by: Spaced Skunk try to find a Noble M12 mate. This is another but not so known British car company,
WIN!
Also, the the Vauxhall / Holden VXR V8 is supposed to be a shedload of fun - brand new it was 350+ BHP for under 30k.

GTR > GT-S
Every aspect of the car is better, plus 70+ extra BHP, computer controlled 4WD, AYC etc.
RX7 is possibly the sexiest car ever made by the Japs, although you really do need to keep to the service intervals with the engine. Make sure that the local dealer is equiped to deal with any problems (which they should be, as the rx-8 is now an official UK car), otherwise you may get in trouble come break down time.
Head=R32, Heart=RX7.

Lol at the mechanical engineer who's name can't get passed the profanity filter:-)
Exige is an awesome trackday car, but I wouldn't say it was practical for day to day driving.
I think the later UK S2000s were also softened up a bit to cope with the roads and to prevent people smashing them to pieces, but only the later models.
What about an NSX? MR layout, 300+ BHP, bullet proof Honda reliablity, plus the surprise factor that it just destroyed that smug idiot's 911 that cost three times as much My sig was really cool and had multiple layers of transparency and would have made you go "WOW - THAT'S AWESOME", but it was 600 or so bytes too big and so had to get snipped. |
