then why on earth are you flying a faction cruiser?

tbh it's a terrible cruiser for npc'ing. it's only benefit is being able to get stupid amounts of hp, which doesn't really benefit a ratting ship. Mine currently has 104k of armor

im sorry, but i have to object here, DE.
ofc as a general rule of thumb what you saying is true...
BUT
the augoror navy issue is a very very nice npcing cruiser, if not only due to its slot layout. you would fit it NOT according to its HP bonus, tho.
of course you can say "there are other cruisers that can do the job better" but imho thats only because of the price.
nice slots, nice stats, nice looks. i used it very effectively back then.
(ran 4/10 with mediocre skills)#
edit: oh wait OP is asking for fittings... lol ... now if i only could remember :)
it was something along the lines of 1 MAR and resists for tank. maybe some cap stuff. but i know i didnt use plates for npcing.

Taipan you're right in that the slot layout is decent for ratting. I should have been clearer with what i said. the ship gets a bonus to energy cap use and hp amount. there are cruisers out there that get a dmg bonus, drone bonuses etc all of which are useful for ratting. the cap bonus could be handy because lasers are handy for npc'ing due to no ammo consumption but overall the bonuses are kinda crappy for ratting. plus it has a tiny drone bay. just think a vexor or thorax or something would do a better job for a lot less money. if u take out the cost for a second then it's probably alright.
not that i've ever actually used mine for ratting so i may well be talking out of my arse.

Nothing but rcu's and plates darkelf? Looks nice in your cropped ship window but normal setups with hardeners are much better. You've got what 150 effective hp? You'd get double the tank if you stopped waving your epeen around and dropped down to around 60k armour.
Anyway don't bother flying it if you can't afford slaves. With them it's one of the best bait ships in the game but it's useless without them.

Augoror - The worst Amarr cruiser imo, although it's somewhat useful when hauling stuff.
Augoror Navy Issue - Maller on steroids. Loveable bunch of stats. May live through ganks just because it has so much HP.

now i triedto set up a fitting on my own and i saw, that's nothe rally best for ratting atm for me. but someday whenmy char is older i think it'd be better.
