So, they've already got that going against them, but then every time I talk to anyone about any sort of PVP setup for any ship, I hear one answer "Why don't you use [INSERT GALLENTE EQUIVALENT] instead? It's just better."

From what I can gather, the Gallente race appears to just point blank be better than every other race, Amarr seem to be gimped beyond recognition in most departments, Caldari are universally recognised as being the PVE race, and Minmatar are complained about by Gallente players constantly.

From what I can see, the entire issue seems to be because Gallentes primary combat module, drones, don't use slots, CPU, or PSU, which means they can jam pack the rest of their slots with Nos/Neuts/Drone augs, etc, allowing them to rely entirely on their drones for DPS.

Now, looking at the game mechanics, it would appear that the answer to fighting Gallente is the Smartbomb. Attacked by drones? Turn on the smarts and watch them pop. However, the problem here is that due to smartbombs not being very friendly in the targeting department, the Gallente ship can use its drones in Empire, while the victim can't use the "Anti Drone" for fear of Concord.

I honestly don't see any reason for playing with any other ships, and considering Galle ships look ugly as sin, it's a bit of a shame.
