Apparently they renamed this mission set from Angel Strike to Kidnappers Strike. I was wondering if they changed this mission to be in line with the rest of the level 3's or if it is still full of BS's.
I'm also wondering what I should be tanking. Eveinfo has the mission at mostly guristas but I know that it has changed so I'd be interested if its the same spawns or if they changed it to blood raiders.

I did this mission the other day, mine was full of guristas. Small bunch that aggro'd me on warp in but nothing I couldnt laugh off in a Drake. The mission does have some battleships and a large amount of battle cruisers in two packs. I just killed the 3 battle cruiser near the tower and aligned myself to warp out before I destroyed the tower. Bookmarked the can and warped out. Hand in mission and return to bookmark to loot the random +3 implant.
The icon in the mission briefing should tell you which faction is the one you are fighting but if you are on mission 10 then you will already know as it will be the same as the 2? previous ones.
Hope thats helps!

That does. I'm finishing up 8/10 right now and I'm hoping that its guristas so I don't have to go and get my other hardeners :-).

The groups with the BSes (and yes they're still there) are not meant to be attacked, they only aggro after you attack the control tower, so make sure you're aligned before you start and be prepared for a lot of missile hits as soon as you start shooting. The groups do more damage than many level 4 missions deliberately so there's no realistic way of tanking the damage even in many BSes without an uber tank or some logistics support.
Have a look here for more details.

If you have been fighting the guristas, then same as mine:
In the final dead space pocket of 10/10 you are meant to destroy the tower to complete the objective.
There are two large gangs about 100km to either side of the tower that won't aggro until you destroy the control tower.
Upon warp in and facing the control tower, the gang to your left consists of 4 BS (armed primarily with cruise missiles), 4 BC(?) and 4 frigs that web.
The gang to the right consists of 4 BS with torps, 4 BC (?), 4 destroyers.
The bounties on the BS are 0.9-1.2mil isk each. So that entire room can easily net you 10mil in bounties.
The BS will keep range at around 30-40km, so can be a pain to take out.
After clearing the ships at the warp in point and the 3 BC guarding the centre control tower, is to tackle the support fleet to either side. Kill the small ships and BC then warp out. Return to the room and head towards the BS. They wont aggro until you attack them for some reason, so I was shooting missiles at point blank.
I was using a tanked up Drake and was able to handle the fire from 4BS at once. Just warp out if it gets too heavy.

I'd rather suggest going after 1 BS group first, (yes, small sihps first, same as you) then the middle BC group and have the last BS group come to you. No warping needed and no full stage aggro problems.
I've done it against those NOSsin bastards, ArchBishops and whatnot, both in a Drake and Myrmidon. Cap was completely dry a couple minutes into the fight, but Guristas should give any such problems. As I've always gone for tank over gank, both in fitting and skills, my biggest problem was breaking theirs. Took forever in the Drake, and Myrm was no blitzkrieg either. Last time I got an alt in a blaster destroyer to provide additional damage (She couldn't fly anything bigger at the time.)

Yeah, the biggest problem I had was to break those BS tanks. Once all the lil support ships had been cleared, I had to refit my drake to tackle the BS.
With 6 HV missile launchers, I was fitted for maximum tank. Then I refitted 7 HV missiles and an afterburner. Full set of small drones. Then it was a matter of closing in on the BS and hitting them from point blank range so they couldnt shoot down my missiles. Also the drones provided the necessary dps to break the tank as well. Took nearly one full load of HV missiles.
Took ages to duel the BS from 30-40 km though.

It looks like I'll be going against blood raiders. I guess you can't win them all.

I just finished this mission yesterday against the Blood Raiders. I was flying my Myrm and upon warping into the last room I saw the two big blobs with the tower in the middle. I was about 50km out from the tower and just sent in my throw away Valkyrie drones and blew up the tower. Both blobs immediately fired upon my drones and actually appeared to only fire upon the drone that made the final destroying shot. Lost only 1 drone. No aggro on me either. I thought it was weird but for those looking to quickly get through the mission, I'd suggest just sending some throw away drones in to kill the tower and sit at the warp in point.
I did take down a few of the BS spawns but it took WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too long to break their tank. Didn't really need the extra 5 million or so if it was gonna take another 20 minutes to destroy all the BS spawns. ----------------------------------------- Don't submit to stupid rules Be yourself and not a fool Don't accept average habits Open your heart and push the limits |

So you can take out the middle bunch (without hitting the tower of course) and then take one blob at a time?
I just got this storyline for the third time in a week and both prev. times I just went for the tower/implant and warped out.
My last was blood raiders and I ended up getting 3 crap Skill hardwire implants in the tower and the another hardwire for ending the mission.

I'm doing it right now and it appears that you can take out one of the BS spawns at a time. I went to the left one first and after taking out the first 2 BS's my tank is holding well. Your best bet is to align somewhere so the npc's miss more.

Yeah, Battleships for level 3s, make it sorta too easy, don't you think? Never mind several of them, sheesh.
Sow as this against the NOS:ing npc as well?
Bah, indeed.

EDIT: Okay, maybe the attitude was unneccesary, but c'mon. If you have battleship groups at your disposal, why the hell are you doing lvl 3's? Most people who do lvl 3 missions do not have several BS's.
To me, it makes a nice way to have some fun with a younger member of your corporation. We had a guy who was working his way up, running Level 3s. Whenever he got this mission, we would help him in the last part of this room by flying a BS to tank the mission and help him kill some BSs. Makes it fun for everyone. ------------
