All round good job and a good fight, even if i didn't see many frames at all during it. Interesting to see what happens when quantity meets quality

Did you seriously just claim there were 350 on one side yet posted a screenshot with 358 in local?
the fight lasted almost an hour, local count was a lot higher than that. About 100 had logged off at least. --------------------------------------
Lets face it, people that use the word 'noob' are blatantly either 12 or with more friends on the internet than in real life! |

Yeah, 265 coalition in R97, 90 coalition in 0OYZ before the jump bridging attempts. 90 + 265 = 355.

You're absolutely right. We had 360 people.
Spread across 3 different systems before some of them jumped into 0oy

I don't know if the rest of the goons made it in, or if we just killed them fast enough to keep local #s steady
Thats a more honest assessment. The Bob gang camped the tower as TCF jumpbridged in outside it, picking off alot of them before they could load grid. Lag meant alot of people were left behind by the jump bridge duration and didnt even make it in.

Although BoB seem to have come out on top in this particular engagement...The petition system is the real winner here as it probably received the most killmails (all the losses being petitioned for never actually loading the grid properly).
The POS count was 3 BoB 3 RA 1 SOCO. However, BoB now has a pos majority as they were able to replace the last SOCO POS in the system with one of their own while more or less locking the system down. Only time will tell if they'll be able to maintain their hold on the system.
Anyone on either side claiming victory this early in the fight for a system is just spreading baseless propaganda and mindless chestbeating.

Edited by: Scavok on 13/08/2007 23:54:45 The most ridiculous part of the whole thing happened earlier today. SOCO anchored about 50 large guns at their last POS that was coming out around downtime. There's no limit on the number of modules you can anchor, only ones which you can online. This meant that if we had actually managed to kill the POS, which we came very close to doing, we never would have been able to put our own up without clearing all the guns. Clearing all the guns would mean chewing through about 500m hp worth of armor and structure.
During BoB primetime we learned that a GM unanchored every single module simultaneously for SOCO, allowing BoB to replace it with their own which meant a 4-3 POS advantage. When I petitioned this clear abuse I was told the GM helped because the guns were bugged.
Good one CCP.

keep in mind we are now just into US primetime, on a weekday, which is typically goonswarms strongest timezone. I'm pretty sure ops in 0oyz have only just begun.

I have always thought this would be a serious problem created by the POS module structure system... one can just anchor hundreds of guns

most of the time was almost unplayable because of the lag... over 5 minutes to lock a target at some point. ccp, please invest some money in hardware, it's just sad to ruin all the fun.
btw, for the ones who still think goons won, look at the killboard on the bs kill/loss ratio

Seriously the k/d ratio is extremly important to the goons. I'm honestly suprised they didnt outright disband after hearing the bad news
