Mashie Saldana Hooligans Of War	Posted - 2007.08.14 23:44:00 - [1] Well I was doing a little bit of ship spinning in the Pleasure Hub station when I all of a sudden saw some strange adverts: Screenshot It seems to be very angle dependant as normally this pillar under the "driveway" is grey/black. Any idea what they actually say behind the blurryness?

It's right by the docking pad, facing the docking pad, there is only one pillar like that and nothing is on it. You did a bad photoshop and lied to the Eve community. Hope you enjoy the response.

I wasted way too much time in Quafe "pleasure hub" stations with camera angles looking for something that doesn't exist. It is a dark grey pillar. There is nothing on it. If he cares to prove it exists, he can take several more shots from even the tiniest change in angle. That will demonstrate that it isn't a photoshop. I give the OP credit for being imaginative in his fabrication. My theory is that he is promoting his website / case-modding business. If so, he should have done a better job with the photoshop.

On my screen it looks faded though, almost black and very difficult to see against the pillar texture. You have to play with your left and right mouse buttons and move your mouse around the right way and it's a bit tricky, but after 2 mins I made it. Thanks, it require that you get the angle just right, hence why I never seen it in the past 18 months. Easiest is to zoom out and up a bit then use the right mouse button to look down and away from the landing pad. If it was in plain site constantly it wouldn't be much of an easter egg in the first place.

I don't know tbh. When I took the second set of screenshots the textures slowly faded in and out as if a lightsource was flying past them. They were also visible from all angles at the time as can be seen in the screenshots.

I spent an hour looking at all imaginable angles and there is absolutely no trace of this texture, it is solid black, black, black. Even gamma correcting or manipulating the screen shots, there is no trace. I am reminded of times in Eve where you fly around and space is all white (that's fun...) or other graphical glitches, so I'd like to know what is going on in that respsect. Mashie - what ship were you in the first time? Maybe the ship has a headlight or light source that lights up the texture? What graphics card?

Everyone can have a bad day and tbh this is EVE-O so a little bit of flaming back and forward is expected or a thread has failed. As for the texture, I tend to agree it might be a mixture of badly placed textures + the wonder known as ATI drivers. It's a Jaguar used in those pics but I could also see the textures with a Viator. The graphic settings are as follow: Two x1900 in crossfire with 14xAA and 16xAF running 2 windowed clients (1800x1440 and 1024x768) on a 2560x1600 desktop. The adverts were visible on both of them. The driver is either catalyst 7.6 or 7.7 at the moment, can't remember.
