Edited by: Zen Dule on 16/08/2007 00:12:55 this is how i have my pos setup now:
Moon harvest > coupler ....................................> Reactor > Coupler [Moon Minerals] > coupler
I am thinking that maybe i can move the coupler that is underlined to an additional storage from the reactor and put the moon harvester right into reactor
Example:
Moon harvest > .............................Reactor > Coupler > Coupler [Minerals] > coupler >
I hope this doesn't confuse anyone. And with current CPU i can not put a silo.
My question is will this work and where will i be loosing minerals if at all.
one prob i see is if the couplers coming out of reactor get full or the manual insertion of minerals into the coupler gets empty then the minerals from moon harvester will get lost

It is correct as you have written it. Couplres are relatively small so it's high maintenance solution but it would work. You will need offline/online couplers to put something in or take out tho, so if POS 'tick' happens when you are doing that then you will lose 1h worth of process.

which sinario would be the better one... i am thinking it would be better to have 2 coming out of the reactor but i would hate to run out of manual mooon materials and loose everything from the harvester cus the reactor can't react....
any suggestions?

well i deactivated my corp hanger array so i could test this setup:
Moon harvest > coupler ...........................> Reactor > Coupler > Coupler [Moon Minerals] > coupler
the coupler coupler shows that it is linked but doesn't show the 1/0 thing... but i think it might be working. I won't know until tomarrow.

just curious is the coupler before the reactor holding the minerals(bottom one)?, or is it just a buffer?
the coupler on the moon miner side isn't needed, it will direct feed the reactor fine, of the 2 i'd go for the 2nd one

The only reason you want is a reactor (as opposed to a medium reactor) is to make advanced materials. Your not doing this because only intermediate reactions use moon minerals directly.
Can you not swop the reactor for a medium reactor freeing up a lot of CPU?

sorry i already am using the medium. but the medium requires 1500 cpu and i am using a blood tower medium :) lol so its tight fit
