kimish	Posted - 2007.08.16 00:53:00 - [1] well was just doing some missioning and i though that i would bring this up. the most annoying NPC in the entire game: without DOUBT: Dire pithi saboteur. it's a frigate with around 27k bounty that can jam as well as the scorpion npc's and they come in packs of 3-8 if there is 8 of them well.. you might as well just wait untill your drones have killed them... which can take its time when your perma jamemd... that is why it is annoying. the reason i am bringing it up is: "have you ever tryid to make a ecm frigate?. i have, and it is almost impossible to do with any effect." so what npc do you find the most annoying and stupidly made?

DubanFP Caldari Four Rings D-L	Posted - 2007.08.16 01:38:00 - [9] This NPC i ran into in a deadspace sector i scanned out called "The Sentinal". I pretty much cleared EVERY NPC from EVERY stage up until that. I even managed to tank the sentinal for a while but i just couldn't break the thing's tank. It had an armor & shield repair rate of maybe 30 seconds. After every salvo a little bit of damage would bleed through the shields into armor, every time i made a decent dent in the armor i would have to reload and the thing would be back up to full again. Ascendant Frontier? They received dev help, you know. Very evil people. Unfortunately they have some of the highest-SP industrialists in the game, which makes it very difficult for the rest of us to out-mine them. We've slowly been grinding their ore down, thank god. The veldspar though...oh the veldspar. Belts annihilated in seconds, lag so bad the asteroids moved out of range before we could even activate our strip miners. However I find no issue dusting them, I just wait until they orbit me because then they dont drive faster than 400ms You could always get better drone skills though, I heard mining drones arent very good at killing rouge drones Caldari and proud

Don't shoot the spies and you can aggro individual spawns within the pocket. If you're using drones, have them engage a target the moment you release them, right-click on drones in local space as they're attacking a ship, hover your mouse over engage target, and click it the moment they blow up the ship so, in the absence of lag, they move onto the next ship without shooting one of the spies. If you can't tank the full stage aggro, don't run WC in a laggy system with drones, because chances are your drones will aggro the spies and bring hell down upon you.

Naturally, I was taking it slow, gathering knowledge from various website, maximizing my tank. So I warp in, kill two battleships and a few cruisers, cringe at the incredible mass of 30+ battleships hovering less than 50km away, and decide to move downwards to give me a chance to run if I accidently aggro them somehow. I notice two frigates (I wasn't going to risk launching my drones to deal with them; full stage aggro is nasty) were scrambling me. Odd, since the online tips didn't mention them. My tracking was horrible, so I decided to take some random shots at them while moving away from the large cluster of enemies. No harm, right? My already choppy FPS due to a ridiculous amount of shiny clouds slowly got worse and worse. By chance, one shot hit a frigate that had slightly less transversal than it's usual orbitting. The lag struck, a frozen screen staring back at my eyes that were encrusted in grime from lack of sleep. When the spike ended, I was at my last hair of structure, with every single enemy targetting me, and nothing to do but weep and be glad my deathmail didn't include too much faction gear. It's funny how I lag whenever multiple enemies target me. I mean, are there any worse times? Before you start thinking outside the box, try thinking inside of it.

Moved from GD -Sahwoolo ever heard of eccm? the spider drone 2 is easily the most annoying enemy unit ive encountered. anything i shoot at which has eleventy bazillion structure points after i just spent a rack and a half bringing it into structure... almost as annoying as a spider drone 2.
