Having played for a while now and seen the progression of the game i would like to make a suggestion. Can we please have more hidden stuff.
I realise only changes to the game that will make to the game are those that are likely to either get new players or keep the old players, i think this is one of those suggestions.
All the current hidden bases and so on are great but it doesnt take much effort to find them, they are only ever at a planet when you warp to them. I would like to see more of these kinds of secret areas but takes more effort to find them, and that they arent necessarily persistant.
The speeds reachable using micro warp drives is at least 10km/s (correct me if i am wrong there), couldnt secret locations be placed within range of a planet/moon/belt/beacon etc where a scan and a certain amount of flying around they could be found.
This may mean a much needed upgrade to the scaner, speed and accuracy.
Hidden objects could be large rare/not so rare asteroids, ship debris, gas clouds, carved asteroids, maybe a simple can with a bp in it, battleship pirates etc etc, and need not be just cans protected by pirates.
I am sure other people have ideas to include in this if they havent already mentioned them and any feedback is welcome.

i have too say i like the idea of introducing . treasure chests as it where into the game . a derelict ship . a long lost container . within it theres a large cl-5 shield etc . this would be good for the game . you d maybe get a whole new class of player who goes out too find treasure =p

There are already Points of Interest (mining colonies/stations/wrecks etc) that sit some distance off from Asteroid Belts (furthest I've seen has been 1200km from belt).
They are still incredibly easy to find though ___________________________________________ Join in the NEW Sci-Fi Quiz |

I would like to see the following change made to the directional scanner. Place a circle on the screen that represents the end of the "cone" of your directional scan and it would show up in the regular camera view only when you have the directional scanner active. The size of the circle is simple: tan(scan angle/2)*distance scanned = radius of circle. This might not be so usefull with large angle great distance scans (the circle probably would take up most of the screen then) but it would be very usefull on 30, 15, and 5 deg scans. I would also like the ability to control how far one warps in a direction. I'm not adovcating warping in any direction you want, but if you have a destination to control the distance you warp. This can either be done directly (by warping x.xxx au because .001 au is still 149,597.9km) or by contoling the amount of capacitor used. Mostly I would like to see my suggestions to the directional scanner implemented.

I don't see the need for more hidden locations. My corp has found several stations recently that you could not just warp to, had to scan and fly.
It took three hours for us to find the last one. That was a good find.

Jumpgate introduced relics into the game. The "randomly" spawned around jumpgates and players had to equip a particular gun to harvest the relic. Inside were rare components to create items, or rare items. Something to consider. Could scatter them throughout a system in some manner. As for the random distribution to use....dont care, hated toying with random number theory in college.

The map should first get nerfed bad as to not reveal as much as it does today, for example the scanner would have to be used to find out how many people there were in system, skills and modules amplifying the scanner would then build on that...
To get to the issue at hand, once this is achieved I think it would be nice with finite spawn sites, both for rare ore and pirates, not everyone seeing the massive activity there a good explorer could make a decent living selling his newfound sites to people who will have a chance to exploit this on their own, hopefully.
Exploit as in the good sense, if there ever were one.

Just to clarify:
I dont just want there to be *another* abandonded station. I would like to see slightly more hidden locations that are harder to find and not necessarily always there, and most of all a larger range of what is hidden.
Lets say for some reason or other you find yourself in a system you have never been before, and you are a hunter hunting rats, so you do a scan from a planet over the range to the furthest belt in that planets orbit, you do the scan and as you look down the list (that came up within 5 minutes MAX and in PERFECT distance order) and find a strangely named cruiser somewhere near moon X or belt Y, you do some more scans and warp closer, then you turn on your Z number of MWD's (which you happen to have fitted) and begin to approach the cruiser, once there you 'look at' the ship maybe do some scans take some screengrabs and procede to kill the rat/lost enemy faction ship, and get some very nice loot or a big reward. Similar type thing if it is a MASSIVE unprotected crokite roid or etc etc ..
These locations could also be found via agents, spicing up the agents a bit, seeing as currently the kill missions are not very diverse nor challenging
