Please use this thread to discuss the server's little hickup and please do not create new threads on this. I am sure the issues are being adressed.

At 12:08 today, shortly after the startup at 11:44, Tranquility started experiencing database issues resulting in the database failing over to the secondary server.
The system administrators are working to start Tranquility and currently estimate server up at 13:00 GMT.

Tranquility is now starting.
We deeply apologize for the inconvenience today's incident may have caused you but the good good news is that we finally have a crash dump of this problem that Microsoft can now analyse.

Originally by: CCP Explorer The first startup attempt was unsuccessful, the sysadmins are sorting out the problems and are aiming for a second startup before 13:30 GMT.
All nodes are now reporting ready on the second startup. Tranquility should open at 13:13 GMT.

ôWar is not the dreadful end to all things as mankind fears. Conflict brings balance to nature as it adapts, mutates, and transforms itself into something stronger than before. Mankind is the master of nature because we can choose those mutations on our own accord. We can accelerate the inevitable dominance of a species. Through war, we can make ourselves stronger at the time and place of our choosing. War is not hell, far from it. War is beautiful. War is divine.ö - Grand Admiral Mekioth Sarum, excerpt from a commencement speech to Paladin graduates of the Imperial Academy, 23215 AD |

Continuing the report: Tranquility was back up at 13:13. Then at 13:39 we had a similar incident and Tranquility was back up at 14:10. Tranquility is being closely monitored by our system administrators.
We now have two crash dumps of this problem that Microsoft will analyse. The crash dumps have already been sent and the severity status of the ticket we have with Microsoft has been elevated.

Originally by: CCP Explorer the good good news is that we finally have a crash dump of this problem that Microsoft can now analyse.
Unforunatly, no memory dump was created for these latest crashes as we only had the trace flag set to the same failover error's we were experiecing prior to the new hardware upgrade.
The problems encountered today are new problems that did not generate the dump, the server is now configured to generate a dump for any error but what this means is Microsoft wont know for sure what the problem is until it crashes 1 more time.
We do believe we know what has caused these new errors and have addressed them to prevent them but we wont know for sure until it happens again.
We did submit the normal SQL error logs that Microsoft reviewed and had us implement fixes for but without the detailed memory dumps we dont know for certain if we have indeed resolved the issue.
