With the exception of a Rifter I killed a month ago when i warped into same belt by accident this is the first time I have deliberately gone out pirating.
My ship of choice is the Amarr AF the Retribution. Some people claim this is crap due to its one mid but with my current setup I'm near to 200dps :D It is also fairly tough with high resistance amour and has about 5.5k effective hp. I have a scram fitted in the mid so anything with a MWD (including a BS) will probably outrun me.
Well so far I have taken down 3 cruisers in belts. 1 scythe which I tried attacking before i remember i had my gang setup and only had a AB on so it warped away just before i could pop it. I waited for aggression refitted and killed it.
Next up I attacked a Caracal who claimed to be a miner despite no mining lasers. He attacked me but only just scraped my armour.
The third cruiser was another Caracal this one was only a day old but very well setup with a tough tank for a Noob which i guess means he is an alt. Anyway I still killed him reasonably quickly as his em resistance would of only been 20% with an amp fitted but i forgot to put my rep on and he got me to 20% armour :@
I also attacked a thrasher which was ratting but unsure of how damaging his small guns would be i was to far to hit him. When he started hitting me i aligned but i moved out of scram range and he got away. Noob mistake on my half.
I made two mistakes in these fights luckily neither of them were fatal as my tough ship could tank them. I felt bad about attacking <1month players but i myself am a Noob to pirating so when i start getting better kills ill leave the young uns alone :D

all in good fun, its great how the newbs in cruisers aren't afraid of assault frigs, and then die rather quickly to them.
know a corpmate got a friend into the game and he has been pirating in a punisher, and has gotten a good number of kills.

pirating in a punisher is great fun....cruisers are real ****ed when they get killed by t1 frigs

All good and well but as soon as your run into a competent vexor or thorax pilot your dead and i dont fancy trying to chase a stabber down. The punisher and retri are great for taking down those shield tankers

Pirating is very fun =D Good kills, I always stumble across defenseless noobs or miners when I go pirating. I'll get some good solo kills soon though! =D
