Whycant we just pay the billion and re activate the Alliance as it stood... Or why isn the Alliance erased so we can just remake it as it stood??? If they plan to pay it at a certain time and server issue makes it impossible to do so then they can't be blamed can they? We quite frankly do not want any special treatment here, the mechanism for recovering from a none payment of an alliance bill is none existant. If you miss an office payment, your stuff gets impounded, meaning you can get it back; this is not the case with an Alliance. We have done the humble pie thing, I cant but help think that this might have gone better if I had donned my ... Carlsberg dont make Eve Pilots, but if they did, i wouldnt be one of them.

Gutted that you "forgot" to pay the bill and the alliance got disbanded. However; I totally agree that you should have a mechanism to recreate or reopen an existing corp/alliance. My alts corp got disbanded and a manufacturing job was still in the factory and couldnt get completed. Long story short, there is still BPO's left in the corps assets and are no longer accesable because there is no mechanism to revive the corporation.

You pay a billion ISK for the alliance, but if you fail to pay a monthly bill of millions, you lose the alliance name and ticker permanently. Give me a frigging break. I think there should be a mechanism to resolve this but it should never require dev intervention. Not one person has done it it should set a precedent and everyone else who ever has this problem should also get dev intervention. Id hate forsomeone to loose their alliance names but everyone should be treated equally

I retained all shares (at the time) but could not reopen it as it was a database entry and could not be changed (?). I was explained it was not possible for us to assume the name of a previously created corp and I would imagine it works the same with alliances. But...I know its possible since they did this for 4S corp back in the day. Merc Blog
