Edited by: Marvix on 20/08/2007 08:43:54 Mineral compression technology: Jump Portal generator I
Before I begin, I need to mention that this is not affiliated with the IPO I just started. This is something I'm doing on the side.
I am selling units of Jump Portal Generator I, which take up 1k m3 and refine down with perfect skills for the following minerals (total ~430k m3):
Tritanium: 31,937,000 Pyerite: 7,500,440 Mexallon: 2,924,400 Isogen: 459,840 Nocxium: 144,500 Zydrine: 23,000 Megacyte: 10,260
Total volume of minerals: 429,994.4 m3 Total jita value of minerals: 380m
These little ingots allow you to carry an entire freighterload of tech 1 minerals in a blockade runner or tech 1 hauler without cargo expanders fitted. Finally, you can move your minerals through that lowsec camp point in a stabbed up iteron or viator.
Some other uses of these are:
Jump-hauling them into 0.0 to jumpstart a poor mineral market or aid production.
Build capital ships or engaging in other heavy industry in mineral-poor lowsec areas without having to risk moving a freighter in.
Refine in a POS to help build a mothership/titan WITHOUT the need for a station in the system and without a conspicuous freighter convoy full of minerals flying around 0.0 for an entire day. This would help keep your supercapital construction yards hidden.
Refine in lowsec markets where minerals or products you can build from them are worth more.
Save yourself weeks of hauling for your major industrial projects.
Compete in local industry in outlying regions alongside corps that use freighters to buy their minerals in jita.
Auction:
1) 1 x Jump Portal Generator I ME 12 PE 2: Starting bid: 500m Reserve: none Buyout: none End time: Sunday 22.08.07, 20:00 Eve time Sniper rule: 15 minutes
No reserve and no buyout , contract in Rens.

ummm...
To the very best of my knowledge a Jump portal generator is used on titans for jumping between systems, not compressing minerals...

I will explain, for those who don't understand.
The mineral requirements for the bare minerals the seller describes would occupy approximately 430k m3 of space. That would require a freighter.
The single unit item that is constructed out of that enormous quantity fits into an industrial or transport, not a freighter.
So for example, build unit in safe space (using the researched print he has reduces waste significantly), put unit in fast-fitted transport and haul *anywhere* quickly, then reprocess the unit with perfect skills to re-constitute minerals.

"Refine in a POS"
OK, please excuse me if I'm missing something or behind the times here...
I didn't think you could refine modules in a pos?
