Quote: Nope, I've successfully jammed NPCs with my BB with 4 x -16 on each radar. Zor himself has 4x15 on each radar in strength.
As I understand it NPCs have equal points in ALL sensor stats. Which means you have to use multis which are rough on the cap of a BB and the NPCs are still cheating.

I can jam Zor for a little under 2 mins with my BB as it is now. And for NPC radarstrengths stats: http://database.eve-db.com has them all

To make a long story short, I was warp jammed from 65km+ out my a NPC raven, from the result of getting jammed this allowed the other npc cruiser to jam and get into range to destroy. But since the GM said NPC’s are able to do this, I am no longer upset, thinking it was a bug. So just a warning to all, be Careful

AND... Tech 1 npc frigates and cruisers locking and firing lasers/hybrids and heavy missiles from more than 80Km distance

There is merit in making NPC's difficult and a challenge but there is a line that has been crossed that is called the rediculous zone.
These new NPC rats can lock 20-50km before you can even have the opportunity. They somehow have MWD's that are incredibly fast, last forever (major cap drain) but their shields seem to be just as strong as before if not stronger. For all the modules a single NPC in a tech one ship can fit they shouldn't be able to do all of the above. Then to top it off they pop in groups of 8-12.
The way i see it, if they can use energy neutralizers and things that make us weak when we equip them, then they should be held to a similar standard. They should have a limited number of cap at least (ammo is ok since it would get old if they ran out since they will fire from forever away even if they don't get any damage from that distance), that way when we neutralize and drain them they eventually lose the ability to use thier special equipment like we do.
Oh and in my opinion 65km away warp scramble is extremely excessive, even for tech 2, thats a 40km+ jump from tech one? Why couldn't Miner II's be that efficient?
Ok that is my rant, I feel better now. I just wish 0.0 wasn't so dangerous as it has become. I can't even go into deep enough 0.0 space to find something other than jaspet (and i've searched alot of the 0.0 space. I'd like to at least get some Hedbergite and perhaps some gneiss but i'm blocked by crazy pod kill pirates, and then beyond that by crazy npc BS spawns that can scramble from forever and a day away.
Heck its not like i'm asking for Bistot or anything.
One question, what is it with all the 0.0 over in the ostingele area of space having only jaspet. Isn't 0.0 supposed to be a little more lucrative than empire space? "I can only take so much before I'll blow up my own ship. Hey isn't that what insurance is for?"

Paid to get the book shipped from the US instead of waiting for it to come out in the UK. Read it in 2 days and now have a long wait for the next one ---------------------------------------------

Well I agree the 0.0 npcs are a lot harder. We lost 2 battleships to them in the past two weeks but with the money made + insurance payoff an instant replacement was possible.
I like the new spawns, it seperates the men from the boys. Last week, in addition to killing off several npc battleships, we scored some really nice items like named close range guns and named large and xlarge boosters.
We also scored a 1400mm scout weapon that we are currently selling. We also scored lots of nice damage mods and such

Actually according to the preface of Wolves of the Calla the last 2 books in the series are slated for release in 2004. Oh yeah and to keep this in line with forum rules....Lets all hope that when tech II starts hitting the selves the NPC wont seem so uber.
