Are you working to resolve the LAG and DESYNC issues; specifically regarding 200 person and up 'fleet battles'. Do you believe these problems can be fixed? When do you think CCP will have a functional way of handling large fleet battles?
Thanks. Fly somewhat less than safe |

1) The dev blog stated that the Triage Module makes you immune to EW. Those who tested it on the test server found out it does not protect you. With the current trend of using a high amount of dampening vs any carrier will this feature be correctly implemented?
2) What are the plans with regards to blob lag?
3) With regards to blob lag, is a limit to the amount of people in a system something that is looked at as an option?
4) What is the status of the possible WoD (World of Darkness) MMO that was hinted at after the merger with White Wolf? (I know, not an Eve question, but I couldn't resist to ask)
5) Concerning Windows Vista. What would you recommend for use wit hEve, 64 or 32 bit?

Edited by: Nate D on 22/08/2007 23:13:05 Around when can we expect to see Rev 3 hit Sisi?
I like that a lot of the bug reporting stuff has been opened up to the public where only the person who reported the bug can see it. However would it be possible to take that one step further and open up a list of things that have been confirmed at bugs (that are not exploits), the stuff the devs are currently working on, and fixes that should be in place to everyone who is an EVE member? I think this would solve a lot of the "CCP's not listening to us threads" and I'm sure CCP has some sort of internal list of things that need to be worked on.
What about statistics for bug reporting somewhere on the EVE-O site? Number of bugs (reported, confirmed, fixed) in the last (week, month, year, forever)
Would CCP ever consider taking steps to make EVE Open Source? (not really a QA question)
Could CCP implement a way for accounts on sisi NOT to expire if they've been payed for in the last 6 months or so?
Edit 1: Is any work being done to make EVE a bit more lifelike? Rotating planets, orbits, flying manually to another system puts you into that system?
Can't think of anything else. -Nate

Hooray for QA! Bug Hunting is tough work! I'd like to see bug hunting statistics on the EVE Online site as well I think everyone would be very surprised at the load we handle!

Edited by: BH Eliohann on 23/08/2007 06:45:33 at 1st: thank you for not shutting us down and now some questions:
1. a) what over improvements are to be expected for the BR-section for players? i think most appreciate the new system due to it's increase in communication between the BHs and the players. b) will there be a push to increase the cmunication even more? (out-dated known issues, testing, in development sections)
2. if you are familiar with the capability-maturity-model, at what stage do you see the development process at CCP?
3. what kind of tests are performed before the code hits Sisi or any other server for that matter (unit test etc.)?
4. are these tests defined before the coding starts?
5. a) what methods are used to calculate the time plan for development projects? b) how accurate have they been in the past? c) how many time (in %) is reserved for QA in each process? do these times fluctuate?
all other questions would violate the NDA, but i can poke you on IRC keep up the good work!

Looks like our qeustions dont get an answer at all. The dev live chat was all about heat and hardly about something else. So we stay in the dark with most of our qeustions.

My 2 questions:
1) Shares from NPC Corporations: Will we be able to own shares of NCP corporations (either by buying or as lp/standing reward) and trade them on the market ?
2) Eve banking system: Are there any plans to creat npc banks where we transfer our isk to and get a little interest regularly ?
Thanks

The recent dev blog stated that the trade channels will be closed in the future and thus all trade will move ingame. How do the developers plan to have the contract system support, for example,
- Supercapital trading - Research services - Share trading - POS fueling services ... and in general, offering of OOB (out of the box) ideas which make EVE trading very real-world like?
Will there be a devblog stating on how the contract system will be developed and when this might happen? How long will the developers give the playerbase time to react and move to a 3rd party siten should the trade forums be shut down?
And, in general, what is the reason behind closing the well-working and widely used trade channels on the EVE-O forums?

I somehow have the feeling that people are getting confused with a general QA = questions and answers and QA= quality assurance. Anyway one more question from me: The latest dev blog stated, that ECAID will help with the localistaion of the clients. This is a very good thing! So what kind of tools will be available for this?

Having been in the ISD BH team for 3 years now I have seen many changes.
1. What future steps have/will QA implement to further reduce the amount of bugs that slip through onto Tranquility and how do you see the Bug Hunting team will fit into this?
2. Something I have always been interested in knowing is how much of an impact does the Bug Hunting team affect the overall QA process.
Thanks

After seeing some of the responses with the new bug report system, it seems like the bugs that only happen occasionally tend to bounce back with "sorry, can't reproduce it". Even if logs and screenshots etc are included,, and even if there is a thread about it with other ppl who have the same issue (which was linked in the bug reports) they are not attached to a defect. Does this mean that CCP knows that there is a problem, and doesn't intend to fix it? If so, why not? (Examples : Item duplication on the overview, wrong color on stuff in the overview)

You may want to consider putting someone in the fixing department aswell
