DEATH'S LEGION

I've thought about this quite a lot.
I would say a PIRATE is (as history tells us) one who attacks another ultimately for financial gain. If said pirate is outnumbered/outgunned, he will burn for port (dockupski).
I know that I shoot pretty much anything that I can lock, even if the prey yields nothing of value. So am I a pirate... or a PvPer?
I call myself a pirate... what do you think?

According to the mission runners hand book a pirate is
1. A player who shoots other players who A). Have Weapons Fitted and are fit for pvp or B). Have weapons Fitted and are fit for pvp 2. Will fight in all situations deemed suicidal by those with any intelligence regardless of how many battleships said mission runners have deployed to fight your evil ways.
3. A pirate should never ransom as mission runners are too proud to fund terrorists
4. A pirate fights in 0.0 and leaves those in empire space to their own business
5.A pirate must NEVER NEVER destroy a: Shuttle, Rookie Ship, Industrial, Transport Ship, Freighter, Mining Barge, Exhumer, or a mining ship in general.
6.Pirates must always allow 30 minutes to pass before engaging prey so that they can have back up show up.
7.Pirates must sit still when engaging targets.
8.Pirates never fit smartbombs
9. All acts of piracy at a jumpgate are regarded as carebearing
10.Piracy can only happen in an asteroid field when there are no mining ships present.
11.Pirates can never stay at a stargate for more than 2 seconds

i shoot people in 0.0 because i enjoy it. i dont care about the loot but if something nice drops ill have it.i will also ransom pods if i snare them.
people see me as a pirate but i dont believe i am. i think im a pvper but the distinction doesnt really matter to me i guess.

1. I shoot and POD other players. A). Have Weapons Fitted and are fit for pvp. B). Have weapons Fitted and are fit for pvp 2. Will fight in all situations regardless of how many Motherships (hehe Koffie) said mission runners have.
3. Ransome everything and anything worth a damn or ask you to eject.
4. A pirate fights anywhere he/she can. If their was space to pew pew when you docked, we'd be there also.
5.A pirate must destroy a: Shuttle, Rookie Ship, Industrial, Transport Ship, Freighter, Mining Barge, Exhumer, or a mining ship~~FIRST~~ To make sure you get the loots after t3h kill.
6.Pirates must always allow 30 minutes to pass before engaging prey so that they can have all their friends who want to pwn come down with their own bottle of Astroglyde and get "jiggy" with their prey
7.Pirates must sit still when engaging targets at 207KM away.
8. At least 1 Pirates in a gang of 10 should fit smartbombs
9. All acts of piracy at a jumpgate are regarded as fun and money making events that leave carebears wanting to visit C&P and epeen why people shouldnt gank at jumpgates, only to be made fun of and laughed at like that guy on the Veto Thread.
10. The best Piracy can only happen in an asteroid field when there are mining ships present.
11.Pirates can never stay at a stargate for more than 2 seconds without getting "bloodlust" and commencing firing on the Killboards.

Although I do typically not engage noobships / shuttles as 90% of the time, they're not worth the damn criminal countdown and 15 min gate aggro.
Anyway, i like a fun fight now and then, with even or underwhelming odds. It's just that they're not very profitable, unlike killing gankable targets. Which can still suprise you with numbers or a trap now and then, but meh.
