Fancying myself a bit of an ameteur cameraman for the EVE universe, now that I've got my hands on Fraps, I'm planning to take footage of any major battle I come across. I hope most of you will enjoy watching the footage I post, and apologise if the film is somewhat jerky, but 30FPS using Fraps plus the lag of battle doesn't help ;)
I made my way over to Cirelere today after reading the news about this Guristas invasion force, hoping to a) Join in the fight and assist and b) get some good footage while I was at it. Nothing was happening in Cirelere as the Guristas had retreated to Rancer.
So I went into Rancer, at which I found that every planet you go to has a waypoint marker where the Guristas spawn. The maximum spawn seems to be about 35 ships, 10 of which are 500k Battleships.
Sadly I had missed a big fight earlier with Evolution taking out a large fleet of the Gurista's.
So after capturing a few small bits of footage of lone NPC's being blown up by a group of people later on, myself and a few others eventually convinced about a dozen peeps to form up a fleet and make an attack against on of these NPC fleets. At this point I was in a shuttle, simply there to capture battle footage. So eventually, a ragtag group of 3 Battleships and the rest being Cruisers moved to Planet 6 of the Rancer system and engaged the large Guristas fleet. The battle lasted almost 5 minutes, but there was never really any doubt of the outcome, the attackers simply were out gunned and outnumbered. Although the footage only see's 2 ships destroyed, there may have been more.

yeah, i liked the shot afterwards when you could see the missile spam following his warp exit...and as npc missiles are uber they will probably make it :)

Good work Ange1 :), That is a crazy amount of missiles, to the thron pilot at the end , i take my hat of to ya, u stayed till the bitter end.

I've seen a display like that a couple of times in Curse and Stain, but I've never seen that many missiles closing on one target and the target actually live. Who the hell was that Raven driver?! I can't beleive he got away.
As for the Megathron, I'm still trying to figure out why he was using energy weapons and not a single shield hardener.
Oh, and WTF was he thinking firing on more than one of them at the same time??

It was the same at Cirelere Planet 5 moon 3,
There was nearly 20 BS's and about 15 -16 players, I went in in my megatron and a friend in his scorp, Every npc targeted him and the the missile spam started, Needlees to say he didn't make it. He will have a new BS tomorrow and will hopefully get it insured this time

It was fun while it lasted, but after a good hard fight and killing a bs and several cruisers, my gangmate decided to CTD (grr Trevedian) and left me to blow up in style to another Raven npc. Damn that thing hurt! Well at least i took him down to about 30% armor, for the rest of you to splat...
Oh and the Raven that escaped was me, heh. Yeah, was kinda surprised to escape miself 
Ah, well, time to get building again, lol.

How me little Moa got out in 1 peice i'll never know! Big shout out to Trevidian and Elisium Dammar...

I was the Megathron driver. Balls? Don't know about that. Stupid? Undoubtedly. Insurance? No. I was just out picking up some mins and got caught up in the action. Wasn't really thinking I would get mixed up in something like that when I left home. Thought really more peeps would stick it out with me but yes, an insane amount of misslesj.

i got more footige.. but i dont feel this stuff suits any movie wel... might add it to a future movie though since a bigass missile spawn fits in some..
