So, I'm thinking I'm going to try shield tanking a Kestrel. I like the ship and I have decent missile skills. I don't really like booster since they suck my cap dry in no time. So, question is...how do I fit it?
Currently I'm trying out 2x 'Benefactor' I Ward Reconstructor and 1x SMall F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction. That and four named missile launcher leaves me with very little Powergrid and CPU for fitting anything else.
THe ship is mainly used to rat 0.5+ and running missions of level 1 mainly. Any ideas?

For ratting, I used this:
4x Arbalest Rocket Launchers
1x 1 MN AB
2x Rat Specific Resistance Amps
2x BCU

Assuming lowish SP
Last I knew, 4 missile launchers and an AB was all that was really needed for level 1 missions. AB away/orbit at close to max missile range and unload the bays. Could go either extender (might have grid issues with good fitting skills) or resist amps to give yourself more survivability in the mids. A BCU and PDU would work in lows. Probably need the PDU to fit 4 launchers. Maybe even two, if your skills are still low.
I wouldn't try the rocket approach in missions unless you want a challenge. You'll take a pounding getting into range. Ratting it works ok, though missile throwing Gurista cruisers can be a pain.
I believe those 'Benefactor's are shield rechargers. which in general are not gonig to be nearly as beneficial as resist amps. Despite their name.

Here's my Kestrel
3 Malkuth missile launchers
3 Shield extender II for 1180 shield HP
2 Local power plant manager: Reaction shield power relay I to increase shield recharge time
I can take out rats in .5 easily and most in .4
Training skills to improve powergrid use so I can try to get the 4th Malkuth launcher online and hoping I can get the CPU to where I can put 2 Shield power relay II on.
