I am sick of this.
Before any of you say a thing, I may be in Goonswarm, yes. I understand that this entitles me to massive dislike from the rest of the EVE community, but never did I imagine I would see the day that CCP took deliberate steps to show their dislike as well. Just because I chose to join a corporation that has RL friends of mine in it that just happens to be in Goons shouldn't open the door for discrimination against me or my corpmates/friends. With that in mind, I request that any flaming is kept to a minimum in this thread. I am not whining, nor spamming, nor trying to stir up crap but SOMEONE higher up in the foodchain at CCP needs to see this. The community needs to see this.
Here is what I am speaking of....
Situation:
Last night we had a jump bridge in a certain system that was confirmed working by multiple people immediately prior to downtime today (EST for me) at 7am. Shortly after the servers came back up, a certain corpmate of mine logged in (we will call her Jenny) to find that a jump bridge was quite literally missing from where it should be. As there was no one that was online that had sufficient skill to either unanchor the bridge or fly the needed freighter to move it, Jenny suspected a bug and filed a petition for it. While forum rules dictate that I cannot post what was discussed, I can summarize.
- The jump bridge was found to have been accidentally removed due to a downtime bug. This is not unique to just Goons, as I have heard reports of issues with it in corps that have no relations to Goons.
- It was deposited in the cargohold of a person in Goonswarm and -fleet of high enough rank. This person in question then petitioned to have it removed and moved to the cargohold of Jenny in a shuttle, who was standing by at the system and POS in question.
- Jump bridge was deployed. Went to try to online and it said that there was insufficient CPU to do so at the POS. The POS in question was still seeing the old jump bridge stats on the requirements and would not allow onlining of said bridge.
- (Here is the kickers that I have serious issue with:) The GM stated that we would lose all the fuel in the jump bridge to this bug, and we had to wait until downtime (and even then we were given no guarantee that it would fix) for it to resolve. Not even taking down the POS and fittings and putting it all back up would fix. We then requested the GM to fix the problem as Jenny didn't feel it was fair that due to a bug where we've lost the bridge all day (major highway traffic was stated) that we should have to wait all day for a fix that might not work.
- Dev intervention was requested, as Sharkbait has been known to fix POS's before. We were told in no uncertain terms by the GM, in a nice manner, to **** off, that nothing would be done as he couldn't do anything, nor could a dev as they used the same tools. Bull; and I and others know this as it has been done in other POS situations before.
- We have also been denied reimbursement of the lost ozone that was in the bridge array, of which we had a significant quantity
I may not be well-known for it, but I have had a tinfoil hattery issue as of late. However, I have done my best to get rid of that, but it seems that it has rubbed off on other people in my corp. Those that would never even THINK of hattery, and in fact blasted me for it are even suspicious of this recent activity by the GM's. They think/feel that the real reason why we will not see our ozone back, nor get our jump bridge until after downtime tonight. I am not taking sides on this, just reporting the facts.
To the mods, I have not violated the rule about posting petition stuff as nothing direct was said, just a summary. I would appreciate that you do not edit my post/topic as no rules have been broken. If you choose to do so, I'm afraid it proves the hatters right in their suspicions.

Actually I think this kind of stuff with POSes has been happening to a lot of people, not just GoonSwarm. I don't see anything here that would indicate direct discrimination. Should they have done something? Maybe, but that doesn't mean they are directly disliking you because you are a Goon.

CCP as a company cannot directly be connected to bias for-or-against ingame entities like BoB, Goons, IAC, what-have-you...
But, CCP is still staffed by people and as we all know, people are naturally biased and/or irrationally liking/hating something (like ice cream or bree), but I digress...
In no uncertain terms, you should at least be reimbursed the ozone that you lost on the jump bridge, and then hope (and pray) that the POS gets fixed. Unless it requires a fix directly into the database itself (meaning downtime), its unlikely the GM was lying to begin with. -

It's hard to see still I am afraid.
Instead if vague hints, care to give exact details of those other situations, how they were handled and by who?
We, also others than Goonswarms, are pretty much in the same situations due CCP opting for easier policy: each GM can make individual decisions, and no common publish precedents/guidelines on matters -> players can't compare how 'fairly' their matters were resolved.
Which makes it rather important to get the right GM to handle the initial petition; try using MSN next time perhaps?

The issue at hand is that GMs are, in general, not helpful in the least. Not an issue of anti-'special needs' discrimination.

Just so we're clear. Right here and now before the flaming begins this is not an official GoonSwarm statement, and to be honest, we're over the CCP bashing.
Dude, shut the hell up.

IBTL & DS Seriously, it's bad, but bad stuff happens. The people at CCP are just humans you know Not getting ozone back via a reimbursement is stupid tough, i would surely be whining about that too, but then against a senior GM, and not on the forums... Aduna should shut up unless he can find cold, hard evidence that another Alliance has gotten preferential treatment on a matter like this. Otherwise, I do not endorse this message and the OP is merely expressing his own opinions which are not representative of the official opinions of Goonswarm, Goonfleet or myself.

While I'm not exactly a Goon fan, I'd be surprised if there wasn't a little bit of bias when it comes to GMs and GoonSwarm interactions.
I recall reading somewhere about another POS 'bug' where a GBC alliance had all its damaged guns 'removed' by a GM only to re-deploy new ones immediately (for the life of me, I can't remember the specific thread), which means the aggressors had to either start allover again, or retreat before reinforcements arrived. Since I'm not involved in this conflict, I'm only going from what I see and hear in the EvE-O and SHC forums, but I don't recall GM intervention in a way that benefitted Goons in recent history.
Let's face it, with the way Goons have given black eyes to CCP's reputation, it'd be just a matter of time until suspicions about events such as these came up. Of course, you'll get the usual "It's your own fault", "Cry more", etc, but I can understand your frustration in this matter. Believing that CCP can be completely impartial towards Goons after all that has happened would probably be something that only a diehard fanboy could possibly believe in.
