I had heard that CCP was working on a DX10 client called Eve Vista. After some research I found that it was mentioned over a year ago and all talk of it just died. I just got Vista and a DX10 compatible card and I want to know if Eve Vista will ever come about. If it has been released... where is it? Where is it in its development cycle. Did it just get scrapped? Anyone know anything about this?

Latest rumors: DX10 client will appear, but not before the end of 2008. The new DX9 client (kali 3) is coming out sooner tough. There is some questions + answers in this thread.

DirectX 10 client will come few months after they upgrade the current graphics engine to DirectX 9 in Revelations III (to be released in November/December). It is expected around March 2008.

Wouldn't Vista have to be fixed first?
... you will see more and more marketing which in turn will bring you more players to torture. |

I think it's also important to note that most developers, not just game developers, have put vista development on the backburner because of the serious lack of sales for the new operating system.
While the customer is mainly using XP there is no real drive to do the work needed to do Vista specific versions/features.
Just wanted you to be aware of the fact that it's not only ccp that havent released vista clients.
