Whats a lil risk here an there??Big RISK = Big reward. Not gonna run off and leave those that do support us hanging. We plan to move into manufacturing and hiring some talented scientist when we are up and running to manufature and improve blueprints. Ok...so the wording is a little to shady, but when has a caldari ever belevied in anything less than business ethics? |

Looking to cover start up costs since i really can't go to a bank to get started to fit some ships. We plan to go into deep space with enough protection to get the goods and get out.Since lately this seems to be one of the more challanging aspects of the game. Funding is out of the question from a bank since we currently do not have that type of collateral. The best i can offer is double the return of the initial investment. if you donate 100 isk. You make 200 in the near future.(projected 3 months out) before any serious turn arounds develop. |

Kelakh,
What is the name of your corp? How many pilots do you have now? How many DCM capable miners do you have? How many battleships do you have now? How much Isk do you currently have? How much personally are contributing to this new investment? How much are each of your pilots contributing to the new investment? What experience do you and your pilots have flying in 0.0 space? What are the skill point total for each pilot? Are these pilots singled minded pilots or multi-faceted skill set pilots?
( I AM ASSUMING YOU ACTUALLY HAVE PILOTS IN THE CORP, AND THEY ARE NOT NEW CHARACTES LIKE YOU, WITH NO SKILLS TO EVEN DO WHAT YOU PROPOSE )
Those are just some questions off the top of my head that you would have to answer before you would see any isk from anyone.
You will go nowhere with this venture.
You start a new character and want to go straight into a specialized endeavor; your 'new' character just doesn't have the skill set to be useful as a miner or an escort. Even as a hauler, you don't have the best skills as a new character. So you, have nothing to offer a potential investor that they can't do or are doing on their own now. A lot of players have skill sets of 10mil for the past 8 months of live play; and your newbie is just not going to compete.
You are going to have to rely on your other pilots in your corp. Take them all to 1.0; move to .7, move to .2, then finally move 0.0 space when you actually have skill sets that are needed there.
It is a funny thread though. New character, but starting a DCM operation that takes weeks to get the skill set to that level to even operate a DCM laser.
Oh, almost forgot, Good Luck!

So how many suckers (I mean players) have you conned (I mean inspired) into losing (I mean invest) isk with you?
Since you didn't even reply to basic general questions about your proposal, I take it to mean this is a scam; oh my!
I will try to decide if I will invest over the next 4 months; I wouldn't want to lose out seriously on this deal.

Thanks again for the outstanding comments by my fellow citizens of eve. To be honest i have not a thing to work with as you can see by my stats. OF course it will take a while to get the word out to get my skill level to where it needs to be. This will take some time. The expiration date still holds. We will have gathered enough intell and people by that date to set things in motion. It must be the lack of faith in the fellow eve community runs thin on these types of issues. I am sorry if this comes across as "less than real" when the basis of this is all legit. I currently have former contacts working in deep space right now and would like to rival thier company and help all of eve prosper. It will take more than months to go this alone as we all know here in eve.The risks has become substantial and we will be hiring all types once we have a regular cash flow.I can understand if your not interested for the moment. But when the time comes all who are posted here will be given serious options to invest if they so wish.In the mean time enjoy,...oh did i mention "quit" isn't in my vocabulary?

The Eve community has seen its share of scams. The latest (and probably most successful) scammer was Morbor who tricked people to invest in his "mineral trading business" with weekly payouts. People invested a small amount, and got a bigger amount back a after a couple of days, so they "re-invested" it. It turned out to be a big pyramid scheme and after a couple of weeks Morbor vanished into thin air, as a rich man.
Oh, and Mr Shield who posted earlier in this thread is also rumored to have made a buck or two in a not completly legitimate way.

Aren't you the same bloke who said he's just starting playing again after a break? What caused the break, if it wasn't you stopping playing?
It is possible, in the EVE world with it's mineable money, for someone to be operating a scheme on this basis and for it not to be a scam; however, the vast majority of schemes that are proposed on the lines you give, ARE scams. Consequently, since it looks like a duck, smells like a duck, waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck, don't be surprised when everybody reaches for the orange sauce.

LOL and SCAM
Another one in long list, funny thing is that investment in new corps really exists (not very often) but not in that form, not in isk. Investment in new corp is: selling them for production cost, advice, help hand when they have troubles. And this is investment in new corp and when corp get bigger and start proper they pay this off with selling they products for production prices and help when this is needed. You could see this usually in alliances.

Invest in a new corp?
How about starting a corp the old fashioned way, get your noob ship, go out and mine until you get an indy, mine some more, get a cruiser, etc...etc...
Why do you need investors? How is that going to change anything? You won't even have the skills to operate a DCM or a cruiser for 2-3 weeks...
Pass the duck sauce pls...
