Why has the Rifter got three rig slots and the Jaguar (one of its improved brothers) has only two ? Dosen't that seem a bit arse over tit ? Why would you put 3 rigs on a rifter anyway, unless your stupidly rich, cheapest rig is like 5 millish and a rifters what now 300k !

All T2 ships only have 2 rig slots to keep them more balanced against T1 ships.

Hi
All tech 2 ships count as pre rigged so only get 2 rig slots so the don't become solo pawn machines

Because Rifters are T1 ships and all T1 ships have 3 rig slots?
T2 on the other hand are considered more specialized, and there for less customizable (not to mention that 2 rig slots encourage the use of T2 rigs for T2 ships, and that some T2 ships could possibly be badly broken with 3 rig slots. The Vagabond is certainly one of those ships).
And I dare you to find a T1 ship where it's extra rig slot will really outweigh the advantages possessed by it's T2 brother.

KK guys but nobody without stupid money(are mad people) would even fit 1 rig on a rifter, so giving them 3 slot is daft, also with the draw backs that come with rigs I hardly doubt and extra slot would over power them, well the Jaguar atleast anyway.

EDIT Dude I aint talking about all T2 ships just AF's, all T2 ships are not the same for instance some T2 get an extra bonus more than AF's.
I know, but that's just how it is. All T1 ships get the OPTION to use 3 rigs, and T2 get 2. On larger T1 ships the 3 slots are useful. 3 rigs and the performance achieved is worth the cost. i.e. BC's and BS's.

rigs aren't all THAT expensive.... u just don't have any money is all and therefore they seem really expensive to u

If you have the money to rig a rifter, you also have the money to be flying something else. Jaguar or Wolf, or Stilleto or Claw, even if you don't want to go past 'frigate' sizes (and if you do, then you can actually buy a HAC for the same price of a couple of 'good' rigs)
