You may want to think.
You really should not travel through .4 or lower unless your are willing to deal with the consequences that are involved. Thats why systems are given a sec rating.

jeffrey.... on the autopilot settings put "prefer safer" and increase the security penalty to 100.
You don't *need* to go through all those low sec systems if you don't want to.

A newbie shouldn't be wandering low-sec in the first place. Yes, in your case you say it was an accident, but there is a warning for jumping into low sec.
But I see a lot of newbies that jump into low sec, mine, get killed, and instead of learning from their mistakes, come back the next day (or sometimes the same day) to mine again.

Yeah, I can understand that they can go on autopilot once because the warning is not displayed.
But I don't understand them going back a second time with the same security measures they took the first time

Dumb doesn't know...

Stupid won't learn...
I know this sounds incredibly harsh, but the warnings are there FOR A REASON. If you can't afford to lose it and don't know how to avoid losing it, don't bring it in. If you absolutely have to move stuff through low sec, don't do it on autopilot, don't do it in a slow ship, and definitely don't do both.
You know what? Scratch all that, bring that stuff to Amarrian low sec. I've got some friends that can help you with your stuff. --- Hey hey let's go kenka suru! Taisetsuna mono protect my balls! Boku ga warui so lets fighting! LET'S FIGHTING LOVE!!! |

Majority (80% of the pirates in empire) of the pirates attacking noobs are noobs themselves. So its all fair in noob vs noob combat. I see no issues with allowing this to continue.

I'm by no means a pirate. Anti-pirate, yes. I only attack what blinks red. I do gotta say, the pirates win on this one.
When i was an actual pirate, I'd not attack someone in a cruiser that i knew was only a few days old. give him a couple weeks and he was done for. Pirating is about making isk in killing people. A person with isk is a person with isk.
It's all fair, the pirates are in fact limited to who they can kill... this limitation is the vast area called secure space.
Even while being against killing a 1 week player, I do not feel sorry for them when someone kills them. After all, they should be thankfull for the lesson learned before really taking something of great value out to low sec.
Just think about all the people that wait till they have a faction fit navy raven to fly before they get to learn the hard way.
If your not fit for PVP then your just not fit. -------------------------------------- ---"What's in your wallet?"--- "There are two kinds of respect, fear and admiration.... I'll take what I can get" |

Sounds like you need to watch where you are going. My advice for a newb is the following: Stay in hi sec for a bit, play with your ship and know the limitations, learn how to get out of places quick, it usually takes a few keystrokes, and above all DONT TRUST ANYONE... dont expect a pirate to just let ya pass as you are coasting thru his domain.. you have about as long as it takes for him to lock to get outta there. When I was running stuff thru low sec back in my noob days... I would buy a cheap ass frigate, outfit it for speed and bullet thru those gate camps. Got lucky a few times but not always..
safe travels...

I popped a Hulk, 3 Covetors, and a Retriever all frm the exact same character within the space of 3 hours. Some noobs never learn. Let them keep entering low sec unawares. More isk for those that pay attention to teh sec status they jump into!

you've had 40 mil worth of junk and yet couldnt spare 40k to buy a little thing called a WCS (Warp Core Stabilizer for you "noobs" out there) hell i think they're actually cheaper than that.

its not pirates fault ur getting killed its ur own fault u should check wat sec ur going through or going to and u should choose safest route instead of fastiets pirates just kill anything if they sit there and think hmm shall i attack the noob or shal i let him go or if they sit and check see if he is a noob they woudnt kill pirates attack anything they can and think is easy they do attack some that fight back however as i have done sometimes

a noob that don't even understand the security level of a system... with 40 millions in cargo?
when i was a noob 1 million was a lot for me, 40 seemed to be something unreachble
what i want to say is that if you got the time to get 40 millions, you should already know the basics, like check paths and security levels of systems!!
anyway don't give up, mistakes happened to everyone, and make you better
