Though the highlight of the evening was RK leadership demanding their FANG fleet mates stop ninja looting wrecks and leave. Using local to scream at them was classic.
While IRC would prefer to be fighting along side folks like RK/Smash (professed anti-BOB) down south against the real enemy...we understand that there will always be differences in motives or goals for each alliance.
I also have to admit that the consistent attacks by RK/Smash have helped us keep the blade sharp and that is always a good thing.

While we were tired of throwing away our interceptors I can assure you, the cap fleet was in no danger.
And while we are having fun recollecting the action I don't see anywhere it being mentioned that Pure showed up to back you up and really allowed you to keep the field. I am sure it was an oversight.
Like I mentioned earlier we appreciate the run ins as they are helping us blow the dust off after our major move earlier in the summer. We can now see that the idea of PvP out here is you get 2 or 3 alliances to form large roaming gangs and go fight. We hope to use those same ideas on combat soon.

I guess as to the original question of the OP...
