I think this change is big enough to warrant a separate thread from any others that I may have been created. (rofl sif I would search)
Quote: Interdictor warp disrupt probes will now prevent warp, even if the warp is already initiated.
This means a few different things:
No longer can a dictor pilot drop a bubble after entering warp to slow down an enemy force who are giving chase.
No longer will it be so easy for a fast gang to escape vengeance if there is a ballsy dictor pilot in the chase gang willing to risk his ship to bubble the fleeing gang.
Motherships and indeed Titans will be much easier to kill (in 0.0 obviously) as they can no longer initiate warp after all of the bubbles on it have ran out or have been smartbombed. A new bubble will now void that warp.
Ratters who fit WCS and sue FoF missiles to NPC with will now be much easier to catch, at the moment if a 6 WCS Raven (I have seen one, seriously) initiate warps the second he sees someone enter local he is as good as safe.
Discuss.

Originally by: Cyan Nuevo I (seriously) doubt you've seen a 6-WCS Raven.
Anyway, yeah, it's a great change.
*Grins* Of course, Ravens do not have that many lows.. but you understand the point still.
Also, I have seen 6 WCS fit to bomber battleships :P

Originally by: althan gnartians Dictors are fast ships and arent slow at warp dropping bubbles behind just got a bit less easy, it¦s still a viable tactic, you just need to leave the dictor out of the gang warp they can easily mwd out of their bubble and catch up on outgoing gate.
Exactly. Now this maneuver takes skill.

Originally by: Hellspawn01 What about emergency warps? Will this change stop loggers too?
Bubbles were changed so that they stop emergency warps from logging out back in the spring, so yes.
Unless the emergancy warp was initiated before the bubble was dropped. i.e. a roaming ganksquad spot a raven who has left local as soon as someone has entered, but their dictor manages to dictor him before his ship warps off. Will it prevent his warp?
I wonder.
I tried to get people to test with me on sisi but everyone was more interested in testing their nanoishtar setups and unbreakable drakes.

Originally by: marakor I didnt think that ppl dropped bubbles on the gate they jumped through to slow followers anymore most ppl jump the dictor to the outgate at 30 or 40km and drop the bubble there and mwd to the gate and jump. It will now take a bit better timing as you do not want to catch any of your buddies but its still better than dropping in on the out gate.
Well, bubbling the out gate is the effective way to slow down another gang on your tail, but it takes time which you may not have (they might be on the other side of the gate already so they could jump in and enter warp before the dictor drops out of warp on the out gate) and it also gives away your heading (scouts split up to find you, they don't even need to jump into the next system they will just assume the one a dictor sphere is 40km off)
