Edited by: Ange1 on 08/02/2004 01:25:02 Today I've spent alot of time roaming around Rancer hoping to catch some more action and today I got just that. Although I have managed to capture a few short clips of the odd skirmish, today I was granted permission by Evolution to join their fleet and film their assaults on various Guristas fleets that are assembling in preparation for the final assault on the Cirelere research station which is soon to come.
Although I am a member of CA, they didn't seem to mind me coming along for the ride and I just want to thank Evolution again for not shooting me ;)
And so I joined up with a group of roughly 15 Evol battleships and watched as they lay waste to the Guristas fleets.
Despite the attempts of the EVE populace to defend the Cirelere Research Station, the next assault is undoubtedly imminent and I certaintly hope to get some more footage of it.
Below is a 170MB zip file of the various bits of footage I've filmed today and yesterday. The 3 main ones are the Evol assaults, the others are a few skirmishes including 3 player Battleships killing a Dominix (or 'Turds' as I call them. I mean come on, they really do look like a Turd with lights :P) as I jumped in to scout the area.
I hope you enjoy the footage, and I hope to bring more soon!
Download Films - 170MB
This post was made with a vague sense of Role Playing in it ;)
On a sidenote, I'm contemplating putting up a website to store all the various bits of footage I have or will get in the future. There never really seems to be anyone going around capturing the various conflicts of EVE through actual movie footage on a regular basis, and I think more of it should be seen. Anyone else think this is a good idea?

The real question is will EVOL fight to the bitter end or just till they've retrieved enough loot?
Stop griping about server instability and go buy an EVE mug!
Additionally with the purchase of each mug you will receive two(2) invisible Elves.

Hi Ange1, just thought I'd give u my thoughts on ur footage, I think it's really great that s1 has started documenting the happenings in eve, cause since no1 can be online and everywhere all the time, it's easy to miss the good stuff. Keep up the good work!

I think I understand somewhat why not many people do this. Apart from needing a huge amount of local space to capture the raw footage, you then need to compress it and upload it somewhere and make damn sure you have a lot of bandwidth to be able to do that on a regular basis. -------------------------

If your going to host files of this size often it's probably a good idea to get bittorrent set up...
