Keep crashing after ¦10sec. Reinstalling the whole deal - hope it fixes things up...

I'm beginning to think this problem could be related to NVidia for it's the only thing both my computers have in common.
Anyone else having problems + using NVidia cards?

Same here. Still losing connection since patch at end of august. Still no solution from CCP.

If you want a friendly advice: stop messing up your PC/router configs, it's hopeless.
I tried everything on my side and it's still booting me.
The only program/server I have problems with is EVE-online server and that's since their latest major patch in late august. Conncidence??? I doubt it.
They added some crazy idle/timeout line somewhere and it doesn't seem like they're gonna admit it.
Best thing is to keep posting on this thread if you're having problems and keep it at the top of threads to remind them and newcomers that there is a problem they need to fix.

Originally by: Jadin Lazarin Yeah somewhere in their code they decided to shorten the idle period and cut connections for idle users or something because nothing on my end has changed in ages and since that update near the end of august or the patch in early September I have been getting "Lost Connection" messages pretty frequently.
Same problem for me

Like I said, problems are on server side, not client side.

Edited by: Pyros on 06/11/2007 22:21:33 Still having problems with connection. Even worse, now I can't even log on the damn server. Don't tell us it's client-side again...

Originally by: Armadios Edited by: Armadios on 09/11/2007 03:41:46 I have a D-Link DI-624 Rev D1 with Wireless Radio enabled however I play Eve over a wired connection, not wireless. Anyway, I think I found my problem, after looking at This thread, I changed my router's MTU from 1500 and 1300 and haven't had a disconnect in 2 hours. Previous to changing my MTU, I had 2 disconnects within a 5 minutes period.
I think I also know another way of fixing the problem. If I keep my router's MTU to 1500 but disable the Wireless Radio, I'm pretty sure I won't have any disconnections.
I wonder if somehow, with a MTU of 1500 and Wireless Radio enabled, the packets my router sends get fragmented. From the thread I linked, it appears that the CCP server(proxy?) might be blocking/dropping fragmented packets.
Thats my findings, so maybe, just maybe the problem lies between our routers and CCP's proxy?
Dude, I think you deserve a Nobel Prize for that! Seems like it solved my problems. I LOVE YOU

Seems to me like CCP raised the minimal bandwith required to stay connected to the server without warning... shame.
When I started playing 4 years ago, we were worth something to them since we, the community, were relatively small in numbers. But now, since they have so many subscribers, they can afford to lose a few... shame.
Then again, it's only my opinion.
