Edited by: Lazuran on 29/08/2007 23:12:02 ... Stain Empire just visited IAC, the remains of the Capital fleet are being salvaged now... ;-P Stand by for a battle report by someone with a worse reputation than me (e.g. Tyrrax).
Linkage
PS. At least 13 capital ships died in this fight.
isn't it funny how some people advocate both GTC<=>ISK trades and EVE being superior due to its cruelty and costly losses, when they use the former to circumvent the latter?

According to SE killboards, SE killed 4 dreads and 3 carriers, while IAC killed 5 dreads and 1 carrier. Too many support on both sides for me to really count (looks like... alot).
Sounds like a pretty awesome battle, tbh. ----

This had nothing to do with any politics, SE are hostile to a lot of the same people we are, we just happen to be red to each other because we like it that way.
I believe it was 1 guy camping gate in carrier, 2 more carriers warped in to save him when he got tackled, so 3 capitals on gate when they jumped 7? capitals in on them.
People started screaming about capitals in F4R so I was like yay I'm only 5 jumps away for the first time in weeks, headed over and grabbed my horribly fitted tackling damnation since it's only ship I have in area. We were dying a lot at start, but more people trickled in and we slaughtered their support. Our capitals were crumbling one by one to their 6 dreads in siege there, but theirs were dying too and eventually most of them died.
Naglfar was not bubbled or anything when it jumped out, was a bit apart from the rest and our tacklers messed up.
I think this all started because a few IAC guys were playing with a small raiding SE gang in JZV constellation, our guys put bubbles up and I guess carrier guy decided he wanted to play too. SE eventually brought in backup and had their capital fleet standing by.

In terms of ISK, seeing as 1 dread = 2 carriers, looks pretty even. Comes down to who held the field I guess. Assuming it was IAC.

Yeah we held the field, unsurprising considering our gang was up to like 90 by the time we finished looting.
(was more like 60 until fight was over cos we weren't bothering inviting people to gang)
ISK was heavily in our favor due to them pimping their capitals and us not doing so, that and they appear to have lost a lot more on the support front. Pretty unusual for us to do this well in a disorganized response gang, good target calling by someone I won't name and an impressive response to the distress call to blame for that I guess and maybe people are getting more experienced after all the heavy fighting in Querious

From the looks of their killboard I would have said they're allies to us, had it not been for this thread. I guess they're playing 3rd party. Good luck with that in this war.

After disbanding SE and forming up with RAT in -A-, XB split and reformed Stain Empire around the time Thug started helping in the ISS conflict. As far as I can tell they simply wanted more targets, even -A- had too many blues.
SE are most definatley a third party in the conflict. Just looks like they were bored brought it culminating in that awesome fight. No tinfoil here. ---

Very nice work, looks like fun.
They outnumbered us heavily when they caught the first three carriers, a lot of guys suicided to keep their capitals there and only later did we start to have better numbers than them.
But yes they fought well, end result was they didn't gank us fast enough so we ganked them.

The fight itself span approximately from 21:30 to 22:30. I and many others traveled 12+ jumps to join the fight, after it has already been on for like half an hour.
Not that it's too hard to think about it, but, hey, a subtle stab is much more fun, isn't it ?

Personally I was quite surprised by us ending up in the positive for the fight considering their massive advantage at the start of it, but feel free to keep your blinders on and smack some more.
Maybe IAC and BUM will get a chance for a similar fight in IS- eh ?
It all looks about even considering you lost an additional capital ship tbh, but claim what you wish.

Maybe, some time in far future, when you grow and harden your balls, you will:
1) come in prime time in home system of 2000+ member alliance; 2) outnumbered 3x; 3) 30+ jumps from base, while enemies can just get new ship in system; 4) on "conventional" ships, not on billion worth faction BS with pimp implants, all bought for real cash;
(above things are absolutely nescessary to start a fight with theese scumsuckers somewhere not in dock range)
5) and make a show for all parties involved - 6) then I'd say: "Good fight, IAC"!
But maybe theese time SE would degrade to some coward and worthless blobbers, hugging their dead-end, sending 2 carriers, dread and 10 more ships to camp a couple of frigs with large mobile...

Uhm, noone said SE did anything wrong? I think they got some balls to do that. Props to them.
But they would (as many normal people) have done the same we did if it happened in their space. It's just the best thing to do if youre attacked at home. No biggie there.

Hey, SE came here with its gang to gank ppl. After they have been locked in they brought more to gank our 3 capitals. What do you expect? We just let them doing it? Maybe they should have tried to get out with their ceptors and dictors and not calling heavy guns... So stop whining!

Great, you weren't there and you fail to listen to ppl who were. You also somehow fail to see and calculate the kill/loss value from the killboards and take in account looting, different setups etc. Now there's a word for that, isn't it?
But again, SE are just omgtheyrawkzor right? killboards, stats, loot? NO, they can kick the living crap out of any alliance! Oh wait, you werent there... :|

F4R/ZXIC (and in fact any ISS station) wasnt lost whilst I was in ISS. The only thing I'm bitter about is that ISS did not die off completely.
As for CVA, we were never fighting them. They could have told you that. We said it often enough ourselves. We were fighting other targets in Providence (to good effect, since one of our target alliances is in the process of disbanding which we claim full credit for, and the other made a public statement admitting defeat and graced our palms with silver). Now our little objectives are complete, we're moving somewhere else. Not hard to understand when you put your mind to it.

If you've ever flown with IAC, they have some really competent FCs. Ask MCFIX who seem to be having a hard time dealing with them.
