Some info for the op.
If you have a particular interest in crop circles you might be interested in some of the early work, (mid 90's)by researcher Colin Andrews (an electrical engineer by profession).
He did some very interesting analysis with control samples taken from outside of circles, and samples taken from within circles. Those sample's were professionally analyzed by a separate scientific laboratory, and showed in brief, that a change had occurred in the molecular structure of the samples taken from within a circle.
Roughly translated, crop with the molecular change, continued to live in the field, so in other words the stems of the crop were bent on a molecular level and not broken, as happens when you wander around a field with a plank strapped to your foot.
The reason for the molecular change was not identified, but if I remember correctly there was talk of microwave energy as a possible lead for answers.

Originally by: Sokratesz It's quite simple actually..
The chance of life emerging on a planet is xx%, very small. There are near-infinite planets, thus that total chance approaches 1. Now the chance fo them finding us or us finding them among all those other empty planets..nigh 0.
Even with the use of wormholes to cover huge distances faster than light would in normal space it'd be impossible to locate us in the first place, so no, no aliens here.
Interesting theory when you read it, but not when you think about it.
This idea assumes that any other life form in the universe is at the same level of technology and ability as we are.
Why would that be? Is this because we don't like to think of ourselves as not being superior to the rest of the universe or something? Oh shock horror!! There just might be someone out there more advanced than we are, did this not cross your mind? Why is it that we HAVE to be the most advanced?
Sok Im not flaming you honest, its just I have listened to that argument before and its flawed for the reasons I give.

Sorry for such a big link - don't know how to make them smaller.
I haven't seen this before, although I do recognize Colin Andrews. Colin's approach to his research is probably the most respected in his field - http://www.cropcircle.info/news/maverick.shtml

UFOlogy is just like religion - only supported by (utterly foolish) faith and fabricated evidence.
Do you mean every single report made is false?

Dark, that is a contradiction. A report of a ufo is a report of something we don't understand.

Some folks might like to listen to this - the link has several different programmes, I am referring to Dark Mission:Hoagland.
Each unit is approx 10 mins long, and has some interesting details about NASA missions past and present.

I'm sorry, started to listen, but they were talking about Tesla being from another planet, the face on Mars (just a mountain)...
Honestly, how can any of you take this crap seriously?
Don't get me wrong, it's cool to think about it, but that's fantasy, not reality...
I just listened to it again - they were talking about somebody else theorizing that he was from another planet, not they themselves believing that...

I find NASA's position very difficult to understand. Theres so much hype and c*ap about the photographs of the Cydonia region on Mars, with NASA coming under real pressure, you would think an opportunity to put things straight would be very attractive to them.
"There can only be so many 'top priorities,' and if everything is #1 priority we'll never get there.
We have a much higher-resolution capability with this mission, and I'll ask Wes [Huntress, Associate NASA Administrator for Space Science] to handle the details. We have the mission planned and targeted, and if we have an opportunity to get a picture of what some people think is a Face on Mars' and could have been prior -- not single-celled life but a higher level of life--; if we have a chance to get a higher-resolution picture to see what that is, we will do that." Dan Goldin, NASA Administrator
That was in answer to a request to re-photograph the Cydonia region on Mars - the area with the supposed 'face of Mars'.

Uhm...
Dan Goldin was two administrator's ago...
NASA has shown new high res pictures of the face... It's not a face at all, just some hills...
It was on the History channel just a little while ago...
There is NO face, and NO pyramids...
Here are some esa pictures of the region
I know NASA has some too...
EDIT: here they are
So all theose ppl who were convinced there was a coverup of this region of Mars? Morons...
Who is right, and who is wrong?

Now, lets go back to my post which you quoted. The point I was trying to make was, NASA's attitude to the request to re-photograph, in high definition, the Cydonia region on Mars. There are astronauts been quoted they have seen unidentifieds in space, there are military and civil pilots quoted as having seen unidentifieds whilst flying and on radar. Now we have an object on Mars thats doesnt move and wont be going away anytime soon.
And neither will the suspicion and the differing accounts of what that exactly is on Mars in Cydonia.
I think the answer is a very simple one: Re-photograph the whole Cydonia area in high definition and in real time, as has been requested. Simple. That would put the whole thing to bed once and for all.

Calm down
Try and see it from a neutral point of view. Two camps saying two different things.
I see Cydonia as a good opportunity to stop the speculation - and as for what NASA did in the seventies, we have much much better technology today to give us the answer beyond a doubt.

Originally by: Darwinia Well the fact is, that in my personal experience I have yet to encounter any direct or indirect indication that we were or are being visited by alien life forms. I go to work, eat, sleep, play etc. every day without it affecting ME in the least. The same holds true for the majority of other people out there.
Sure, all those Disclosure projects videos and evidence can make you consider the possibility and I'll go as far as saying that I can believe it. But believeing and knowing for sure are two very different things.
We won't know anything for sure until either a big as UFO appears over every major city in the world at the same time or somebody really important (like one of the presidents of a G7 country) holds a press conference and gives all the known facts.
Yes thats about it in a nutshell Darwinia. There are opposing groups saying different things.
Jim, maybe a better question to ask is something like: Do you believe the major governments of the world are preparing the global community for certain revelations regarding some ufo sightings (Belgium for instance) and anomalies on Mars and possibly the moon, especially when you consider witness validity in the Disclosure Project for example.

'It just does not make sense we can control all governments in the world on this issue, and not be able to fix Iraq...'
Iraq in my opinion is not meant to be fixed - if you are American you should take a close look at whats going on in Iraq. Since when was American foreign policy dictated by private companies? Such as Blackwater *cough cough*
Ye well we should probably leave it at that since we're getting into politics.

Oh, I believe in the possibility of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe.
However, I have seen ZERO proof that convinces me they are visiting earth.
All I have seen up to this point is loch ness monster type stories, pictures & videos.
If loch ness monster type stuff is all that's required to convince you that they are here, well that's just silly. You need to be more reasonable...
And if what you're saying is true about other countries, why are they so concerned to get our approval on their UFO data? They don't need a green light from my government. They can put it out there, and let the world public decide... So far what they have put out there is as usless in proving UFO's as the pictures of loch ness have been in proving the existance of that creature...
Just out of interest, do you believe Iraq did have weapons of mass destruction, your not quite sure, or no they definately didnt?
