I was all ready to make fun of Goons but tbh ....that sounds pretty reasonable if true, d/c's can kinda cause confusion and they were in a rush get ready or something?
so kinda harsh to boot them out for that, just take the extra man out

Well, even though I really don't like GS's forum behaviour, I still can't say I don't feel sorry for them. Accidents happen, I'm sure it was a misunderstanding.
Better luck next time GS.

Goons get harsh penalties for breaking an un-written rule for clearly a minor ****up do to CCPs servers sucking in Jita that(every?) day.
MC have someone drop out and come back in game which could be considered a violation of:
"If a player warps out/leaves the arena, His/her ship will be destroyed. "
But since MC is a member of the good ole boy's club and GS isn't MC gets to keep their key ship and all of the GS team ia dq'd.
At least pretend to make your GMs look unbiased when everyone is watching CCP.

Lol, only took you until page 2 to come up with dev hax accusations
There is a difference betwen people droping to desktop dureing the competition and haveing more points worth of ships in the gang that will get transported at the begining of the competition, and since GS thrives on drama, i give the fact that they actualy might have done this on pourpous, the benefit of doubt.
Anyways, why not make a threadnought over it?

Actually im pretty sure they had a Raven moved out instead of the frig so they got screwed on that deal and still won. Nice try though. GS failed, plain and simple.

I forgot we would have have 9 this time instead of 10 so it didn't twig, and as soon as the GMs mentioned it we logged off the backup blackbird but it was too late.
Its entirely my fault.
This is a reasonable explanation and cheers for having the balls to take the bullet in public.
But you have to give credit to the goons, a few of them posted here and were able to laugh at themselves... that's healthy to say the least. Probably most people expected them to trash the forums left and right. |

Edited by: Cabre on 02/09/2007 03:39:22 Why should CCP treat the Goonies fairly after what they've done in the past? I'm happier to watch goons lose by being disqualified than seeing them play the match and I know others who feels the same way. This made my week.
