Just a note on speed tanking FOF. Angel was slightly wrong on FOF and agression. The FOF will go for you if you have agressed the person you can cut your agression so like they did send in a very fast ship that can mwd and hold cap (4k/ms or more) and has someway to get agression such as a target painter. Cycle the targets in the beginning agressing them lock target paint unlock next target. All FOF will consider you agressed for 15 minutes even if they damp you. So as long as your fast ship can stay closest missles will hit doing about .01 damage and will all go for the fast ship. Its actually a very very good tactic and you just saw it used.

StevieSQ, what made you want to join up with EVE-TV?
Is it the money the fun of it, or maybe something else?
Like especially in the beginning and then how did your hopes for the future change now that youÆve been working for EVE-TV a wile now?

A previous question asked how the tournament may highlight issues that need looking at (such as damps).
I am curious if they feel the tactic of creating cap out of nowhere (using remote cap transfers) is as it should be or is something that ought to be tweaked in the future?

Question for the EVE-TV Team to discuss:
How about linking future Championships to ingame scores?
Raise the stakes. This would be a voluntarily thing.
Say Corp A is at war with Corp B over region C or system D
If these 2 Corps manage to meet at the championship, then the winner would also "win" either region C or system D.
Of course such ingame goals or flagposts would have to be voluntarily defined. But they could bring a big boost to motivation. Rewards and Risks would need to be balanced of course.
This could make the whole competition even more game relevant.
Such a move would be in the spirit of: Let the generals of 2 armies have a fistfight over who wins, instead of having the whole armies slaughtered.
I do not know if this idea is absurd or realistic, just brainstorming along :)

I think the real answer to faction BS is...
It takes a fair chunk of points, and as stated in the past they'd be better off spending the points on say, 3 cruisers and a frig or something instead, more targets, more midslots, cheaper, and reduces the chance the BS will get EW'd to death and become useless as opposed to having atleast 2 of the things replacing it do something.

I've seen some people complain (mostly online in chat channels) about some teams drawing out the match when they clearly lost (like the running frig earlier or that last Pest hanging in there).
My understanding from the point system is there is a value to their team if they can survive till time is up.
Is that so or should they just lie down and die?

Isn't it a little limiting to forbid warping within the arena?
Personally I find slings (or grid-warps) a powerful tool in regular battle on TQ and it would also make the entire tournament a little more close-range friendly. You could use a speed fitted ship to get up to (or behind) the enemies and then warp your forces to the gang member to move in for the kill. This would also increase the use of tacklers (so you could counter the grid-warps of your opponents) and the shorter range on the other hand would help counter the somewhat overpowered damps.
Will this rule be changed in a future tournament?

I have a question, i¦ve seen some alliances field inderdictors in the contest, but what can you do with that in this kind of pvp battle?? since they¦re most made for preventing ppls from warping what i have come to understood.

Here's a question for the commentators: If the rules said you could only use a maximum of 3 ships that were EW or Logistics, would it be good?
By this I mean a scenario where we have a max of 3 EW ships, 2 EW and 1 Logistics, or 2 Logistics and 1 EW or 3 Logistics in a side...

I wanted to Join EVETV for I like Internet Spaceships...
I don't get Paid! Im a Vol and have been from Day 1- Most of EVETV are all Vols, and actually half the camera crew are WOMEN!
I do it cause I love it, I love the Game, the People and because they feed me.
Mostly cause they feed me.

What are the chances of the next EVE Tournament being rolled in with a Fan Fest and being broadcast from say...perhaps Denver or somewhere in the US?
Does this make me a selfish American bastard? Yeah probably but figure the next few tournaments could be outsourced to various locations giving the EVE TV crew a nice vacation to exotic locales (avoid New Jersey) and allowing more people to watch...maybe even a small (somewhat sober) audience as well?
Rolled in with a Fan Fest and some EVE TV coverage it could be a good way to show just how crazed and supportive the community is. That being said if it ever does come out to Denver, I personally promise to help in the severe beating of anyone wearing a Murloc costume.

Are there any plans for alternative tournaments? Such as Frigate fights, Class fights (All battleships for example) or maybe small alliance/corp tournies?
I personally would like to see the mayhem that Frig fights bring.

A couple notes:
The Caracals don't have eleven low slots none of the variations have eleven low slots.... The standard has 2 the navy has 4 and the cerb has 4 please stop saying the caracals have eleven low slots.....
As for Drake's tanks, they are sevearly nerf'd by the lack of rigs. The loss of 3 shield recharge rigs makes the passive tank though still valid much much weaker.
