 I dont lnow if i should get a Black bord or a MOA i heard from alot from alot pepole that Black bird is a Baby scorpion becuse of it meduim slots but MOA is a real Power packet many says, but its ulgley like hell.... and i like both but i cant only get one.... I have warp , warfare and weapon disruptor and population jamming ( mabey wrong spelling ) and i would also know if Black bird is a good NPC hunter or if MOA is better in NPC hunts
P.s i like electronic war and can someone tell whats the best setup for black bird and MOA

Depends what u want to do with the ship,
The bb is a verry good pvp ship(in that i mean that it can ew anything but it doesnt have the firepower to kill it). Also if u want to mine or npc farm, the bb isnt for u.
The bb is the little brother of a scorp- good at pvp sux at everything else.
Now the moa isnt on par with the bb (ew) , but u can still use it efectivly in pvp, also u can mine and use it for farming nicely

Blackbird can kill any other cruiser quite easily.
Moa is good but the Caracal is better. Set it up for a quick lock, mwd, and a warp-jammer and simply overwhelm your opponent with torpedoes or cruise missiles.
Can't think of any cruiser which can withstand 2 volleys of torps/cruise from a Caracal.

Done it every time I've faced a Caracal in my Moa on chaos.
Best ship depends on how good skills you have.
Low lvl pilots: blackbird is teh win.
High lvl pilots: blackbird runs from cruise-FoFs and drones from all the tier 3 cruisers.
ehhhh, well, not the Maller, but the Maller is already on everyone's "list of things that totally suck for PvP".

u cant mine with it-it got no turrets(its the upgrated version of a kestral) and u cant npc farm with it , its not a good idea to use missiles against npcs

The best mission/blockade runner for Caldari (actually the best of all should be the Stabber)
If you don't believe ask the guys from Forsaken Empire about the Osprey going through their blockade yesterday
(no hard feelings guys just needed to go somewhere  )

caracal has a lot of cargo space as well and it's faster, or i would say osprey was best for mission running. obviously that's all it's really suited for.

With 4 medslots and 4 lowslots, a Moa can be shield-tanked very good.
And still deal very good damage with 3x 250mm, 1x 150mm (or 280mm projectile) and 2x H-50 launchers.
A Rupture or Thorax should also win against a Caracal without big trouble.
However, making good use of the tier 3 cruisers requires much higher skillpoints than the Caracal.
IMO, the Moa, Thorax and Rupture are well balanced to share the place as the best PvP cruiser.
(Well, the Moa in itself is the best, but the much better skill-bonus on Thorax and Rupture brings them there)
The Maller however, is hopelessly behind.

Your Blackbird will break for heavy drones and the Thorax got plenty of those.

Well that's the hold point....
Cheap,fast lots of cargo (3 low = 3 cargo expanders or 3 overdrives)
Good cap recharge time
Actually the Caracal has some problems with Cap even though it's cap is bigger than the Ospreys (that's because the Osprey takes less time to charge)
I'm just saying if u need to travel trough 0.0 (and u dont own a Stabber).....the Osprey is your choice....save the Caracal for PVP

Look I have
MOA --> Miner NPC hunter
Osprey --> Blockade/Mission runner
used to have a Caracal --> Mission runner (less cargo but if u get a kill mission u have more power only if u can use Torps/Cruise and have 5 H50)
And I'm about to get a BB (let u know about that later  )
NOTE: My first cruiser was the MOA (and i dont regret it)

Good all around Caldari cruiser = Moa. Nothing else.
But you should not buy a Moa as your first cruiser.
Buy an Osprey or Blackbird and use that until you either lose it or feel that you're getting used to be in a cruiser instead of a frigate, and get your skill points up.

Go for the Moa. U really wont regret it. It is damn tough (i took 15 cruise missiles from Zor on an agent mission and still had 80% structure) and it has great firepower (ok, my skills are pretty decent but I can get 4 x 250mm and 2 x Heavy Launchers on it now).
Forget the Blackbird, it is a great ship, but its plus points are ECM/ECCM, so unless you are into that or have done the training, forget it.
Again, forget the Caracel, great missile boat, but too compromised in other areas.
I actually own all three of the above, and use them all in varying roles (yes I know I am minmitar, but Caldari get the best range of cruisers OK). Gotta say though, when the going gets tough, show me the Moa.....

get a blackbird, good for helping out bs's in pvping, also ok at npc + mining (3 turrets i think, it is cheap and is the coolest of them all.
Mimiru > It'd be a tie, the monkies nerfed pooflinger wouldnt have enough tracking to hit the parrot orbiting him, but the parrot's beak is so small it couldnt break the monkey's fur tanking. |

Yes, get the Moa. I had the Moa as my first Caldari cruiser and it was no problem at all getting to know it and use it. It is a good ship, and the best cruiser I've flown so far and I got all 4 cruiser-skills at lvl3 so I can fly any cruiser if I have to.

Cruiser Base Conclusion:
If u got Chanse fitting Heavy launcers and fill them whit Cruises- Then do so!
I got just wonderful Rupture set up
its not as 1337 as characal.. but this thing Totally Ownage's other if u just know-how
Besides.. EW cruiser cant take Much FoF Cruise hits anyway
Despite reasent Missile Nerfs, i still find Missiles Second to only 1400mms
and on cruiser and Espesialy Frigates like Breacher or Krestel i find them to be the only Viable wepons anyway, atleast for PVP that is

get a bb, never seen a MOA doing any harm in PvP battles, a thorax is cruel because of his large drone space, but you can still kill the drones with torps.
bb can easily damp a bs (i suggest amarr BS, thy have not so many missles) and with 2 damage dealer you can do nice damage

if its your first cruiser, I would suggest the osprey. otherwise, for what it seems like you want to do, get a moa. blackbird and caracal are highly technical, expensive, use-specific ships that you will most likely be disappointed with.
you will be happiest with a moa, i believe.
