Panic Driven Racketeers	Posted - 2007.09.06 04:38:00 - [1] I think it's time that the Tech II Roden ships get a looking at. Everyone knows that split-bonuses on ships are a no-no (Nightmare anyone?). I'd personally like to see more launcher slots and less turrets with perhaps a RoF and Damage to missile bonus, but I know there are some other good ideas floating around somewhere. If they can do it with Khanid, they can do it with Roden!!! Oh yeah, and way off topic, but make the Domi gray with cyanish lights like a Mega. Wtf is with the orange stripe? Can you say tacky? Ather Ialeas Amarr Space Perverts and Forum Warriors United Cult of War	Posted - 2007.09.06 05:37:00 - [2] People apparently doesn't understand that Khanid MK.II was all about matching the ingame ships with roleplaying backstory AND creating an alternative path to ships and weapon systems while also balancing the suckiest to better and as a bonus we now have a reason for Amarr/Caldari crosstraining. Besides split bonuses don't necessarily suck, it depends how you utilize them - and just look at Gallente, some ships get both drone and hybrid bonuses IIRC which is a split bonus.

One more launcher hardpoint and a couple of PG more would really help it. The Enyo, however, is a Roden Shipyards boat which is essentially a gunboat (and a good one, if someone else is holding down the target, and if it weren't so bloody slow), and I don't see the Enyo going through a major redesign. It does say in the Roden ships description that they favour missiles over drones, but it doesn't exactly show: the Enyo has a (single drone) dronebay, while having just one launcher hardpoint, preety much like Minmatar AFs and the Harpy. Posted - 2007.09.06 09:35:00 - [9] Edited by: Rib0 on 06/09/2007 09:36:43 the only reason split weapon systems are bad, is that you have to use twice as many low slot damage mods as you would on a single weapon system ship to get the same effect. this is only a problem if you are going for a "gank" setup using multiple lows for damage mods. now if you are using a nano or heavy armour tank (or even shield tank) setup the problem does not arise as you are doing the same damage as a single weapon system becaus but with more versitility (extra missile range etc). iirc roden ships are all destroyer size or samller, and ships of this size generally do not fit damage mods anyway and i dont count having to train up a second weapon system as a disadvantage - everyone has to do it.

I honestly would have no idea how to fit one or fly it, but since it's a recon it has much more usage than "dee pee ess." And I do like the Enyo, it's an awesome little ship with 4 neuts in the highs; I guess this is mainly a rant for the Ares / Eris. I don't really like cookie-cutter ships and am looking at an Ares, but I really don't have any idea what to do with it. Lachesis is just fine, its a cool ship and good @ what it does. It deals good dps from drones aswell. The enyo is a great AF (all AF suck imo). The only fix that is really, really, really necesary is more PG for ares. Launchers use more PG since quite a while, but ccp nerfed boosted PG on the ares. They simply forgot that split weapon systems also use missiles. BUT! it shouldnt stop there. The raptor needs a boost aswell to perfom as a longrange railgun platform. It simply cannot fit that role atm. It has less cap than a crow ffs. Small tweakings it the keyword imo. No "lets nerf this to hell" or "lets boost this to the stars" mentality. edit: totally forgot about eris. Give eris a bit more speed and the ability to fit 3/4 guns and 4 launchers. Good enough imo. I always interpret the "favoring missiles" as favoring missiles over drone space. the opposite of a creodon ship that's got big drone space but no missile For instance, the enyo has a missile point but low drone space, the ishkur is the opposite. Though the lach, ares and enyo could use some minor lovings. Making them missile boats is not the way to go. After adding khanid MK2 and a roden MK2 as missile ships it makes the races far too homogeneous. I'm in favor of keeping the split bonuses, however they need to be redone. Each t2 ship gets 4 bonuses right? Well It's BS that 2 of 4 get taken up on the %5 weapons bonus, where most ships only have 1 taken. Make one bonus a %5 per level to hybrid AND missile damage, then add a new one to the ship. ====

If nothing changes I guess at least it is still the disposable cheapo budget fleet bubble blower.
