Yes that's right! EVE-Search was just feeded! - as in RSS Feeds that is.
RSS feeds have been added (beta) to enable you to track new threads or posts.
For now you will be able to use feeds for the following;
Any new created thread Any new created thread/post in a certain subforum Any new thread/post by author X
While browsing EVE-Search you will have the RSS link at the top right (a help page will be online later).
Quick basics for the RSS urls:
The last new threads: http://eve-search.com/feed
The last new threads in General Discussion: http://eve-search.com/feed/forum/3519/new (change to forum id or click the rss link at eve-s, replace "new" with "all" for all posts in said subforum)
Monitor a thread over RSS: http://eve-search.com/feed/thread/590163 (replace with thread id or click link in thread at eve-s)
Monitor all new threads by author: http://eve-search.com/feed/author/Chribba/new
Monitor all posts by author: http://eve-search.com/feed/author/Chribba/all
May have missed something or maybe you have any additional needs, let me know how they work.

Make a feed with dev posts only please.
I realize I could have a feed for each dev, but if you could somehow find a way to combine all the different dev posts in different channels into one single feed, it would become very popular im sure.
Also it would save me from having to build a site like that myself, using your service.
Right! I knew I had forgotten a feed, dev/isd/gm/all feed coming up shortly.

Small fix for the feeds have been applied which caused some readers to display the content in a strange way.

I was looking for a post kieron wrote once and couldn't find it. That and the queries I made kept timing out and they weren't even that complicated.
You can use (without the brackets):
[author:"Author Name" SearchTerm] [dev:SearchTerm] or [ccp:SearchTerm] (for gm/isd/dev)

They are already there; http://eve-search.com/feed/forum/3519/new <- for General Discussion, you need to replace the number to the forum ID you want to monitor (or just surf to the subforum on eve-search and you will have the feed link at the top-right of the threads)
Originally by: Kuolematon Not to be an ass or anything but DEV feedback without EVE-TV? It's annoying to have like ONE real DEV post in "new posts" section :
That is a good idea, I will have to give it some thoughts on how to solve such feeds in an easy and not too resource digging way.

Is that not just threads as opposed to posts?
Ooo sorry, my bad I thought you meant threads - of course you can get all new posts - replace the /new with /all and it will show you all posts instead of threads.
In other words - http://eve-search.com/feed/forum/3519/all

Cool, although there's a bug in there. If a thread gets moved to another forum the new posts still get appended to the old forum rather than the new forum. For instance, http://eve-search.com/feed/forum/3515/all is giving results from a thread which was moved from Market Discussion to Events.
Yep I am aware of that, that is because EVE-Search do not see if a thread gets moved to another forum as it only logs the thread ID once, any extra posts in that thread will be appended to the thread ID rather than the thread updates again to see if it moved forum, it would simply be too much resource waste to check every thread for a new forum (keeping in mind that threads do not switch forum that often).

EVE-TV usernames start with "EVETV" and real Dev's usernames start with "CCP". Are there any exceptions to this rule?
Just make a new category in dev finder: ALL|DEVS|GM|ISD|EVETV
Thanks for the RSS and keep up the good work!
You're right, I wasn't thinking clearly, I was thinking about the EVETV subforum rather than spiral and Xyl showing up as devs. However starting to filter on names as well is not that good of a solution as currently they get added to the database based upon their "dev" status and not by their name. But I might be able to put them into the ISD category rather than the dev one.
