it cant be that i left the 1. Stage of"The Assault" mission to get to station and get some fresh cruise for stage 2. and coming back I already have a stupid player STEALING my Salvage stuff and after i entered the second stage even started to loot my cans ...
Make Mission Dedspace much more challanging to find not that easy that any kid could do that Half-asleep!!!
It just got way to easy to find Mission deadspace and start salvaging and even looting the can .... yeah I get Aggresion Kill Right but so what the hell should i do with that in the middle of the battle !?!? turn around and fly to the other stage sto look for the ASS*** stealing Loot&Salvage .. He wil be long warped out befor i got there and locked im ...
this sucks badly !!!
AND thats not to mention that it even creates more lag esp. in MOTSU because of that now we dont only have the 100-120 Mission runners and stuff but also 80 people who try to find mission deadspace and steal from mission runners -- and those players would be somethere else if it whernt for the many mission runners which makes finding even more easy ....

I couldn't agree more! Salvaging other players' wrecks should be a criminal act. I don't want to spend time and ammo shooting my way through missions just to find the wrecks salvaged by someone else when I return to salvage and loot. And not to mention it's a way for people to legaly take your loot as the jetcan with the loot is not tagged to your corp. It's free game for anyone. To me, this is not much different from an exploit. My corpmate lost loot and salvage from a faction spawn in a highsec mission due to someone warping in, salvaging the wreck, stealing the loot and warping off again. And all my friend could do was to sit and watch as this happened.
I have no problem with it being possible to scan down players doing missions, that's just a part of the game. They should not, however, be allowed to salvage without getting flagged. As it is now, salvaging other people's wrecks is safe, unless the owner decides to suicide gank you. Eve is all about risk and reward. Here there's a way to make money with virtually no risk.

The definition of a wreck is: No one owns it.
So, no one were stealing from you, as you don't own the wrecks. If it bothers you so much, just fit a tractor beam and a salvage, and salvage while missioning.
Or go to another place, where there are no scavangers.

Let's review. "it cant be that i left the 1. Stage of"The Assault" mission to get to station and get some fresh cruise for stage 2."
You ran out of ammo. I can't imagine you are running a ship that requires more ammo than you can fit in a cargohold(few exist and most that do are worthless or you are plainly using the wrong weapons).
No, you just messed up and didn't bring enough along. And the player saw you warp out and though - "he's gone - doesn't want it".
Your fault. Stop whining.

I bet you could also reduce it you weren't missioning in one of the largest systems of mission runners.
And if he looted the cans, then what'd you do once you DID get the agression? Whine on the forums?

LOL!? , I spend a month "ninja salvaging " in motsu pretty much every day.In that whole time i only ever encountered 2-3 ppl in the same mini profession as me....Please dont pull random numbers out of ....nowhere
more lagg?, ive heard it reduces it because the few ppl who are 'Stealing wrecks' are acually cleaning them up from the database instead of having them sitting around for an hour or 2
And can you please stop giving ppl who salvage missions a bad name, just because you may have encountered someone who 'stole' your wrecks dosent mean us mission salvagers are bad .When i do it i always try to make sure the person does not intend to salvage it themselves...
Last of all ..quit whining.EVE isnt fair. This is not a problem with the game mechanics. And If they did nerf it somehow how are pirates suppose to find mission runners in low sec... ?...If you got a problem figure a way around it like the rest of us and quit wasting our time please!

Evidently you don't do missions, Using 5.000+ shots for a level 4 mission is normal. I you add some cap booster and/or you are using a "undersized" ship (a BC for a level 4 for example) you can easily use up enough ammunition you want to resupply. That don't mean you have used all the ammunitions, simply that you don't have enough to complete the mission.
If youa re smart you don't waith till you have 0 (or even really low) ammunition available before resupplying.

Balle! It is harder, but a ship in a mission can be scanned easily enough.
For all those that say "wrecks have no owner" try that on the owner of a wrecked cars lot when he found you prying replacement parts from one of the cars.
I dubt he would be amused.
A bit of honesty saying: "I am gettin a good quantity of isk and don't want it to change" would be really appreciated, instead of half assed excuses.

I do level 4 missions (yes solo) in my Eos, it has 400m¦ of cargo space, that means I can carry 16000 charges, though i usually only carry about 5-6000.
On average I use about 2000 charges per mission, ranging from about 1000 for the easy ones to about 3500 for a long lasting mission. This is a BC sized ship with relatively fast firing weapons (medium rails)! A cruise missile launcher has about 3 times the ROF as a medium rail, so it should use considerably fewer missiles than I do with my railguns. So the only way to use 5000+ charges on a mission is using a BC sized ship with blasters or autocanons... |

thx ... my ppoint exactly had like 800 Cruise left and thought i get some more be4 i enter the next stage and need to warp out there ...
the point was they found the wrecks within 10 min
and the next point the dont just salvage but steal loot was well .. and there is not much that you can do .. beside playing a gang Guard in that stage ...

Funny, that applies to the OP as well, it's just that he does want it to change for that reason. I usually consume more than 6K Large hybrid charges in a combat heavy mission, like to have at least 3 different kind of charges for the different ranges, and am not surprised to resupply in mid missions. It all depend on how good are your damage enanching skills.

As far as I know, drones show up easily. Make a scan for drones - and jackpot. If they're heavy, you can be sure there's someone doing a loot-heavy mission. Unless they changed that. I never tried, and thus far haven't been scanned for either (I think).
I don't think that salvaging itself should lead to flagging - too many people are leaving their wrecks in belts. However, I'd be all for flagging anyone entering a mission deadspace who isn't in my gang. Give me one good reason why anyone should enter MY mission deadspace, aside from stealing from my wrecks(loot), or in search of an easy kill(in low-sec).
That aside, I also think we should be able to "mark" wrecks somehow. Like "Don't touch" or "free for the take". With optional flagging ideally. -------------------------------------------------- I'm a rich person. How I know? I can afford to be a miner. |

Well, I see that close range (if neeeded), lock, scramble, close range, web, kill is preety much standard procedure.
There IS an answer to your prayers, anyway. Low-sec mission running. Double the rewards, and you get to kill whoever you don't like (or they kill you).

Use a 'phoon for L4 missions..I use roughly 500-800 cruise missiles per mission (sometimes less depending on the mission), but I rely heavily on my drones too. For example, I've had a long string of Angel missions lately and I haven't had to resupply in awhile, as I put 2k missiles in my cargo hold awhile back. If I'm using torps, I bring 500 in cargo with launchers loaded and I never run out. It also helps if you don't fire at small stuff like BC's, let your drones eat them..it only takes about 30 seconds per ship if you're only using drones. (my drone skills kinda suck atm)
As for someone scanning out and salvaging your mission, tough ****, deal with it. Props to the guy scanning it out, because I am completely clueless when it comes to that. this is not a signature, whatever anyone has told you is false. look away |

I'm not too keen spending MY time and risking MY assets to clear a mission and then having my loot/salvage stolen from me. MY time, MY mission, MY assets = MY loot & salvage
You want to salvage? Ask in local for ppl to give you BMs or something. Walking into my mission area uninvited means you're either there to steal or to can-flip and get me to shoot you so you can run out, switch ship and attack me in the middle of my high-sec mission (tbh, I think this type of behaviour is borderline exploit and CCP should reconsider making this possible in the first place...)

From my point of view and if I understand correctly, salvaging can make decent amount of ISK. If this attracts more people to salvage it is only good. Why? Because it helps rig prices going from overpriced to affordable. It also generates a new mini-profession for beginners (and professionals) who can't afford a raven to run missions or simply want to make ISK some other way. In my opinion, salvaging a wreck shouldn't count as an aggression. Hypothetically even if salvaging would cause aggression, wouldn't it be aggression against Guristas or any other faction whose broken components you are stealing rather than you who have killed them in the first place? Maybe the bunny-pirates want to fix their broken components too!?
And regarding 'Make deadspace less probable'... Well to be honest I'd say something very naughty but I'll keep it to myself for now. Missions are hard enough to probe as is. Lowsec pirates still need a way of living by surprise butthumping any mission runners.
Edit: Sorry I forgot something. Let's make shooting missioners rats cause aggression too! [/sarcasm] _________________________________________________________

omfg.... this is EVE, not hello kitty:
the pirate is risking you developing a brain before EVE2, and doing something about it, instead of yelling SPLOIT in the forums.
Stealing your stuff is wholly endorsed by CCP, and will stay that way. dont moan, get even.
Why eve uni?
Eve uni, while a fantastic initiative that deserves many praises, sometimes seems like it doesnt educate its newer members on the cruel world that is EVE, something your posts in this thread are a clear example of.
If you think someone stealing your stuff is borderline exploit, then I really would advise you to go look for another game. The fact that you run a mission does not make anything YOURS. In eve, if someone wants your shiny gun, which you have painfully saved up for, he can shoot it off your ship, laugh at your tears, and brag about it. These are extremely fundamental principles in EVE, and one of the main reasons for its unique position. If you dont like it, play a game which is instanced. ----------------------------------------------- "post with your main. delete your alt, you sad little exploiting metagamer."
