There isn't one. As players we don't rate highly enough to warrant any information about upcoming game changes. Instead the information was announced in some random interview with some news site. Their readers obviously have a much higher vested interest in the game then us.

i haven't read all the way through so i'll say sorry if somebody has already mentioned this.
while i don't think that miners need more ships (they'd be nice but not needed) one thing with mining that i do think needs sorting is the fact the Skiff and Mackinaw have the exact same stats fitting wise but the mack has an extra high for a strip.
mackinaw is a specialist ice barge but can't fit 2 t2 ice harvesters and 2 t2 upgrades, hell it can't fit any tank at all if you put upgrades on it, personally out of anything mining related that needs sorting first.
why not just bump the mack up to have 200 / 225 CPU that would solve it, leave the powergrid and slots alone just give us some more CPU!
oh and whoever mentioned it a skill to reduce strip miners fitting requirements (or just tie it in with weapon upgrades) would also fix the problem and i'd love that as i mine ice for our POS...

Who uses Bantams for mining? Who uses Tormentors or Probes? Who flies the Burst? There's no point in using these ships unless you just like to fly them (as I do).
Has anybody out there ever seen anyone flying a Burst?
There's really no point in even having the Burst, Bantam or Tormentor in the game.
Everybody wants to get to the Hulk as fast as possible. It's the Eve equivalent of "leveling up."
Mining needs more specialization, more consumables (crystals, etc), more ores to mine--in Empire!

personally i'ld like to see Tier 2 T2 command ships, just be sure to have an extra bonus to mining to some of them ^^
