First we would need the ability to isolate Aggression. The problem here is that sometimes Courage or Desire or even Compassion can be the same thing that is otherwise called Aggression. Kicking down a door in a burning building because a child is screaming behind it is an act of pure aggression though nobody would call it that. ----- I'll be in my pod |

Broken in what way? We tend to look up to people who spread love and happiness and tend to dislike people who spread hate and unhappiness, right? Love makes us feel good, hate makes us feel angry.
Would a human being that wont harm other human beings really not work? Wouldnt it force everyone on the planet to solve their conflicts by diplomacy, because nobody would ever go to wars?
We tend to look up at people that spread love and happiness because we, as a race, always try to look at the bright side of things. We hope, and thus we want peace. But even if we wanted peace we will never get it, because it's not the human nature. The humans are aggressive by nature, altho we use a shackle called "society" to restrain and divert that huge energy to more "acceptable" and productive ways. Thus I say that we cannot be at one of the tips (either a pure and passive peacemaker or a savage warmonger) because we would be either be too passive or too uncontrolable.
What I'm trying to say is that the human being is nothing more than the frail balance between the primal instincts of our ancestors and the rules that we made ourselves to keep those instincts on check. Still we can't abandon those primal instincts nor we can revert to them, because we would be either beasts or robots, thus the expression "broken". In this case that you posted specifically, if we lost "aggressiveness" completely we would lose many other benign qualities that stem from that, such as "ambition" and the drive to move forward against everything, that is one of our core characteristics.
So all in all, it's like Ying and Yang: we, as humans, are nothing more than an amalgam of good traits and bad traits, but if you removed only the bad traits and left the good ones, we would no longer be humans. Same goes to the opposite.
Complicated race we are, Mankind. ---

LAck of aggression in all it's forms would kill the human race.
Try to be competitive in sports without aggression. A certain form of aggression gets me promotion at work etc...
We'd be death. -----------------------------------------------

That.. And we wouldn't be humans anymore.
EDIT: Besides I kinda like the adrenaline in a fight. It's like pvping with a faction fitted ship in Eve.

But who controls the removal of the 'agression' and would this removal then be a also seen as aggression towards people? As any form of agression is part of human nature. So the ones who would perform these 'operations' could not have been subjected to it cause it would contradict with it. Unless there is a backdoor to it, that adds a feeling of "we must help those poor aggressive people". And them we would be back where we started :) ________________________________________________
