Rifters? I have never understood why people fly those things. I don't complain tho. It's always fun to send them home in their pods.
To make ISK killing things.
See, a Rifter with T2 guns and a good setup will cost somewhat less then 2M. It will most likely make 5-10 times its cost before it dies.
Plus, they are absolute awesomeness for escaping bad situations, with superb agility and a tiny sig radius. I've never actually had a Rifter *caught*, and I've had situations when multiple people were probing me out and warping in on my location, interceptors warping on top of me while I'm in a belt, and so on.
However, the Rifter does take a lot of skills to shine.
Beats any non-nanoship hands down when it comes to not getting caught.

not getting caught I can understand the usefullness of. I've used rifters as tacklers when I couldn't fly intys. decent speed, cap enough to keep the mwd and scram running... but not enough damage to hurt a drone.
You know, I ahve even seen a pirate in a rifter trying to take down a corpmate in his geddon. Was the easiest 40 mil I ever earned in that pod. __________________________________ Gallente by birth. Amarr by choice. iDrone |

Since everything is getting nerfed im relying more and more on my trusty gank astarte and gank mega for solo pvp. Because every nerf this far has only strengthened these ships in a way :)
