Simply for the purpose to lock him without him noticing. 
Had large T2 extender in before eh as i saw him spamming in local i had some kind of devine intervention that it could work, and it did.

Exactly, and frankly, I don't like this kind of play. Can switching a miner is one thing, baiting someone with "loot" is, and should be, something that can be petitioned. At least in systems .8 and up.

This isn't that hard to follow is it? A manticore is a T2 Frigate that costs something like 10-20m base uninsurable + another 10-50 in kit. 20mil loss minimal. 2004 character piloting said manticore. Obviously no decent or experienced player would steal from a can that belonged to a drake pilot using such a ship, yet someone does. So either the pilot in the manticore had a death wish, or he was very inexperienced with the game, as would someone who had bought thier character off ebay. I've seen that before, and it is indeed hillarious.
Good catch, wouldn't say it was about skill but rather luck, and definately mention worthy. Gj.

Not that I'm condoning can baiting (no pleasure for me in killing a noob in a noobship) - but there is a warning when you try to loot a can. Its that warning that kept me from doing exactly that till my character was a couple weeks old (at the time I thought it would lower your security status ). I don't see why someone would get banned for doing this when the noob is clearly warned prior to stealing.
As for a Manticore pilot stealing cans in Jita...
At least you taught the guy a lesson!
