I checked the build thread and searched and found nothing for badger builds for either hauling or mining in high sec space. Anyone suggest some builds for both? I recently picked one up because they are cheap and I already had the skills for it and needed a vessel for hauling large cargos around but cannot find any recommended builds for it.

It's high sec. You could arm your ship with quafe and be perfectly fine.
People don't use the badger for heavy hauling. They use the Iteron V. The badger has its qualities but the Itty V can swallow whole jetcans with the right gear.

3 cargo expanders, AB 10MN and tractor or two.

If you have reasonably good skills, you can fit 4 T2 medium shield extenders (or 3 T2 and one Regolith) and two hardeners for a total of about 10k effective hp. It helps guard against opportunist suicide attacks.

Heh well I'm not using it for heavy hauling, mostly just for courier missions with a high volume cargo payload or to ferry my supplies for my ships around (missles, rail ammo and spare modules etc) whenever I change stations. I also do some mining in it since it can hold more than anything else I own.
