I'm also sure they will not use the "Logs don't show anything " excuse because the logs are probably not there! Here's hoping CCP will do the right thing as they usually do!

Other game is running missions if you normally pvp, or doing courier missions if your normally mine or something like that. A book is normally part of a mining ship interface, it helps the pilot stay distracted during the time between mining cycles on a hulk. Help fight the Salvage Ninjas

Taking into account past events it does sound kinda fishy....but then CCP has still not gotten back to us on the further changes to prevent volunteers from leaking personal information as Kieron promised us in his own thread almost 3 months ago..... I wish they'd just figure out what the problem with the database is and fix it. Seems like if they need to take it offline to do that they should even if it means no eve for a couple of days. Thoughts expressed are mine and mine alone. They do not necessarily reflect my alliances thoughts.

We are tied into this game and CCP know it, you leave then youve wasted months, years of training and gameplay, chances are you wont leave. CCP get complacent, for every 1 that leaves 10 startup. Sad but true.

One of them being that there was a lot of server downtime. It isn't any better now, though the game is a lot better. I've been back for a couple of months. The game is worlds ahead of where it was. Server stability is worse than it was. I hate that. I wish it would just get resolved already. Because contrary to various fanboi statements, other MMO's have a better stability record (Over 50%) and larger player bases. I can't say that this is CCP's fault however. Having been an ISP for the last 7 years I have personally experienced trying to get support for commercial software that was never designed to scale to the insane size of the CCP cluster. I just hope this gets worked out.

Is it really that bad, or is this just sort of "forum venting exaggeration"? If I were to lose a battleship because of a server crash, and were to be set back several months? of game play because of it, I would likely quit. Grinding and treadmills are an inevitability in any MMO, I suppose, but I don't have the time or the desire to grind for the same rewards multiple times because of a real-world hardware problem.

If you lose a ship directly as a result of a server crash, I'm pretty sure it's be replaced immediately. Also, you need to keep EVE's first rule in hand here: Don't ever fly what you can't afford to lose.

I'm not an expert or anything but comparing corp tickers must be one big and demanding query on the database considering the number of existing corporations.
