Ok before I go any further let me just say that I think some form of compensation should be given once the crashes &/or lag has gone past a certain point (eg.an amount in hours, maybe once it goes past more than 3 - 4 hours in a set period of time). I think that if CCP did something like this it would show the players that they are being considered when there is so much unshedueled downtime.
I know of several F2P games that give their users little extras whenever their servers have a spit and the players are unable to play, and lets face it the $14.95US that this games costs to play per month is more often than not coming out of peoples pockets that are not rich in any way.
Now I am not sticking up for CCP but I think they have it a bit hard sometimes as they have a lot of people yelling and screaming that they want this changed and that added and in all truth doing all of these things does take time. Personally I think they should work on the problems the game already has before they go adding more things, cause when it all comes down to it adding more things is just really adding to the problem.
Now having said these things I think the hardest thing to fix is going to be the lag because there are just so many things that can be causing the lag/ or could be making it worse and the bigger percentage of them are outside of the CCP server/ EVE game setup.
Anyway I am hoping that things get a lot better sooner rather than later as EVE is a great game and it would be sad to see a lot of people start leaving because of things that shoulld have been fixed a long time ago.

Way to miss the point completely.
I can't speak for most people, but when everything is in shape and functioning I'll be paying. What annoys me is people like you say the new client is coming and write off all the problems we have now like they don't exist/never existed in the first place, like it somehow makes it all okay

You have got to remember people are paying real money for a game. And for some people the sub fee is alot of money to pay per month.
Who the hell finds it hard to raise $15 a month?
I wouldnt call it "hard", but for me 15$ are more than peanuts. As a trainee your not quite rich where I live. Sorry, but Hermosa is right.
I completly agree with Haffrage. You hit the nail on the head there.
I'm a shelf stacker at Tescos, we do get paid peanuts and I can afford it.
whether or not you can afford it is beyond the point, its like paying for something at a store and then them saying can you please put that back and go away if you dont get a gd service --------------------------------------------- no sig for you !!!
