I am, but maybe I'm alone on this one... in which case good decision CCP.
If I'm not alone on this, post your support here so CCP will better realize what the playing community wants. I for one, would much rather see factional warfare than 20 new ships. We were told we'd be getting factional warfare about a year ago... has it been scrapped?

Well my thinking is if you want factional warfare join an alliance...
I may have misinterpreted what you meant by factional warfare though.

Though I'm sad factional warfare won't make it in Revelations 3, they obviously have some issue to resolve first and it's wise of them to focus on that instead of entirely new features. That and the constant whines of "OMG CCP FIX LAG INSTED OF FACTIONL WARFAER!"

in previous dev blogs they said that they had two options, since their focus for rev 3 is need for speed:
deploy a rushed crappy version of faction warfare
wait till they can devote more attention to it before deploying it
20 new ships requires a lot less work in terms of content designers than faction warfare.

Would you rather have a bug filled piece of **** factional warfare, or a nice shiny and far less buggy factional warfare that actually works?

I have been wondering for awhile what makes factional warfare so appealing? It doesn't seem to be worth all the desire people have for it...there are plenty of ways to get into combat all over the universe in any security system. Seems unnecessary imo, what is the real point of having it? (Actual question, not rhetorical )

Looking at the feature list of Rev 3 i'd say factional warfar can wait.

I understand from an initial development stand point, 20 new ships is probably easier... but what happens when all the balance treaking and bug fixing needs to be done with them? Factional Warfare get pushed back further...

There has been no substantial information on factional warfare, so why would you even notive its absence in a future patch?
--- This is a war declaration, issued from your alt corp. It is used to gank people in high sec. |

What did I miss, where did they say it isn't in Rev3? Heck, I'm kind of disappointed it wasn't in Rev1 as advertised, but then again it should also be good when it does come, instead of a pos. The problem is that it should have been in the game from the beginning, and I'm kinda skeptical if it will be all that after all.

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me its a bit of a role playing thing, as well as my hatred of 0.0 PVP and bubble camps.

While low sec pvp isn't as easy it is possible and can be fun. But if you want high sec pvp why can't you just wardec another corp?

I suppose I could... but there was all this talk of medals and ranks... it all sounded so fun/cool and immersive in a RP sense.

ok, I'm not arguing that there's a lot of really great stuff on the horizon... just bummed that factional warfare (which was originally a REV 1 thing) has apparently slipped through the *****s.

To be honest, factional warfare will have to account for people who wish not to participate in it in any form. There are legitimate players who avoid fights in the first place (not accounting for macro-iskers of course).
Trying to figure out a system that: 1. will account for them 2. cannot be abused/exploited 6 hours out the gate 3. is bugfree (fat chance considering the many factors) 4. is actually fun to do (more restrictions means less freedom and therefore, less fun. Just look at missions to know what I'm talking about) 5. actually has an impact on the game, insomuch that it becomes a factor as to why people participate in it. (As it stands, having the playerbase decide which faction gets majority control over empire space is just asking for a one-sided war) 6. does not cause any more lag than wanted.
If they actually fulfill all 6 points I've made as soon as Factional Warfare hits TQ, I'm so eating my hat
On the side, the current Coalition VS Alliance war is more or less 0.0-factional warfare, so you can be satisfied with that.
I'm more up to fixing the current problems, like POS warfare, UI issues, and the new Trinity 2 graphical update actually laying off the CPU use and putting it on the GPU for once like a proper game -
